• Less scopes. In B2 everything spawn with scope, shotgun, revolver, broomstick. Stop this.
 • Change vehicle movement, all Lancers and Moon Buggies sliding on surface.
 • Maybe some kind of vehicle customisation - don’t need 4 person Bandit Technical when I play with only one person. Give me option to remove two rear seats and place gunner weapon there like on HellBender from UT2004. Or replace right front seat and place shield generator there.
 • when weapon have grip, let character actually hold it
 • side grips (like on laser guns from TPS) on shotguns
 • no crafting - it will slow game flow - there is always that one guy who constantly checks how many crafting materials and other crap he have
 • no 3 capstones on high level characters.
 • hardcore mode with better loot and permadeath.

I’m with you on this one. It seem that a lot of stuff that was recently posted has been already covered before. It’s like de javu over and over again. Don’t get me wrong I like reading suggestion but if there were any type of filter, I would be really pleased.

and seraphs!

I would like Seraph vendors to accept Seraph weapons, say 25% value for trade, 10% value for crystals, no cash value.

Maybe it could have a hub world system, like Destiny

Or warframe

Hi all. This is the first time involving myself in a discussion such as this, so I would like to keep this short and sweet.

I have a couple of things that I would love to see in Borderlands 3. I have played the borderlands series on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and they are all fantastic. I’ve been playing ever since they were released (except for Tales) and have noticed some things in the original Borderlands that were not passed on to its predecessors.

Here are some I have noticed…

Borderlands favorites

-Eridian weapons (not E-tech): I thoroughly enjoyed the eridian weapons from Borderlands 1. E-tech weapons were kinda cool, but they didn’t have the AWESOME like eridian. E-tech represents already made guns with just some added on attachments (not REALLY an alien super weapon).

-Majorly different gun audio: I knew what I was shooting when I was playing BL1, whether it be a Vladof, Jakobs, or Atlas. The sounds in BL2 and Pre-sequel seem all too similar with each other.

-ENEMIES DROP THE GUNS THEY ARE HOLDING: this is the thing that bothered me the most the first time I played BL2. I would see an enemy firing an incendiary pistol and I would instantly go over and destroy him for the weapon he had. Unfortunately, he didn’t drop it. Quite frustrating.

-Legendary weapons were amazing: The Hellfire was my favorite weapon in BL1 because the fire damage would stack and do huge damage margins close range with a full clip. When it came back in BL2, I was stoked that it had a chance to drop from Scorch. Alas, 'twas not the same. Damage did not stack the way it used to…

Some other integrations of BL2 & Pre-sequel I did not particularly enjoy…

-Failure to effectively balance high level characters to enemies: I completely lost interest when I reached level 61. The balancing was so difficult it was impossible to go through a mission unless I was a gunzerker with a perfect skill tree and two double penetrating unkempt harold’s. Insane.

-Pre-sequel - only one DLC?: I have to admit, the Claptastic Voyage was amazing, and probably my favorite part of pre-sequel… but only one? Oh well, guess I have to wait for the new Borderlands to come out!

-HUGE skill tree descriptions: I remember back in the day skill trees were simple and easy to navigate. Now, skill trees take a majority of gameplay, changing and perfecting the tree. I really enjoyed when I knew what I was getting myself into for skill trees. Now it’s a gamble, staring at the confusing paragraphs and deciding which would work better with others. Probably the worst thing were the stacks… 3/10 for skill trees.

-Glitchy menu: (especially on PS3 and PS4) I would try to go in the menu and I would freeze the game for a split second (in splitscreen) or make the frame rate go down dramatically for that period of time. Players know that a split second could mean everything when fighting a raid boss. Please fix for future games and to try to make the menu simple.

That is all. I hope the devs look at discussions about the future game and find some insightful things. I really enjoy what others are saying, and hope they get integrated as well. Thanks.

it’s probably been said a few times, but i’ll say it again. “all gun manufacturers should make all
guns”. dahl shotguns, jakobs rocket launchers, hyperion assault rifles, etc, etc.

i particularly miss my bulldog from bl1. the hyperion bullpup from the presequel was a nice substitute,
but not in the regular loot pool unfortunately. vladof and maliwan shotties were fun too.

Too true! A Jacobs Rocket Launcher would be awesome, and extremely powerful. haha

hey so this is my idea and opinions so if you don’t like please don’t be rude.
So i think in borderlands 3 should be called Borderlands the final war or something like that.

So my idea for possible characters are add Lilith and Mordecai back to the game but make there ability different and have Lilith be able to like jump and smash the ground and cause a fiery explosion.

My other idea is add 1 or 2 characters that you can customize from like 10 different and 1 can be a guy and the other can be a girl with different abilities but have them be related and you can customize them how you want and change there clothes and what you want them to look like but have the guys ability be like hes a teleporting ninja with 2 blades kinda like Athena but when he teleports depending on his abilities he can cause a explosion or shock and then stab or slice the enemy and kill them. and for his skills when you level up more like to level 15 he can teleport to more than one enemy. And then for the girls ability she can have a magical power where she can either shoot like beams from her hand and have the beams bounce of enemy to enemy or off the walls or ground and hit enemies and cause them to bleed and eventually explode.

If you like my ideas message me or like this thank you

Slow it down a bit and try again. Or let me try to edit it in a bit and bounce that off of you, see if I understand it correctly.

 • “Borderlands 3: The Final War” isn’t a bad title; I don’t got a problem with it, but the final decision doesn’t lie with any one of us fans downstream.
 • On the characters, you’re saying like a brother/sister pair.
 • Outfit customization is an idea, although that may be a stretch. Already, there’s been support for a combined system mixing that of B1 (color palettes) with that of B2 (heads/skins).
 • Personally, I’ve played “Destiny” and dislike the teleporting there. Based on that, the closest “Borderlands” equivalents might be Deception and Phasewalk, both of which I prefer to “Destiny”-style teleporting.

(Still working on this…)

I agree, the thunder and lightning were especially fun. My only problem was how they all slowed your movement speed for no apparent reason.

Cant say i agree there, guns like pistols, shotguns, and sniper rifles sound pretty different in 2.
-ENEMIES DROP THE GUNS THEY ARE HOLDING
Everyone liked this part of the first game, except gearbox, apparently. There was an inside the box article where Paul Hellquist said they didnt like how unpredictable this made the combat in 2. So they decided it was more important for the combat to be boringly predictable than have enemies drop their guns. So i dont expect this in BL3.

I think they could do to be more descriptave, although by that i just mean telling more exact stats of skills. And everything for that matter. Id also like if the stats after the main 3 on the gun card had a little context.

I think this affects every console that does splitscreen, ive never seen it affect online play though. A friend selling gear, or buying ammo during a fight gets really annoying, especially since you have to buy a little ammo at a time.

Thanks for the comments. I didn’t realize that the eridian guns slowed you down.

That’s too bad for enemies dropping their weapons… I hope Gearbox will change their mind on that. It really gave some areas of Borderlands that feeling of “oh, this is gonna be rough” like all of the crimson lance at old haven.

True, I wish the simplicity of skill trees in BL1 and the big skill trees of bl2 and pre would combine in a way. That way it wouldn’t be as difficult to create a well-balanced character.

Honestly I have to say the ammo thing was really a killer. I remember specifically when fighting Bnk3r in ultimate vault hunter mode my friend bought ammo at the worst time… right when i was jumping towards a turret at the edge and fell off. :joy:

Also two more things I forgot to mention in the last post.

-I really liked the mini missions of the broken claptraps for backpack slots: It made backpack slots really something special and deviated it from ammo upgrades and such.

-I also don’t like how average the guns are in the “weapon of the day” slots in bl2 and pre. I have only seen maybe 5 legendaries in ultimate vault hunter mode in both bl2 and pre. In bl1, if you had the money (which, they were usually a ton) you could find a place that would be selling a very very good weapon. I really enjoyed that, and gave money real value so you might not waste it on vending machines.

Love borderlands own all three with all dlc’s beat all stock pile of legendary weapons. Jultzdude139 had mentioned to have were you can weapon " forge" not grind like in pre sequel but be able to disassemble certain weapons and take items, elements and mods and go to your smithing table and create a better weapon and have the option to take a low level gun and build it to the level you are at now with better parts. It will cost to do so such as eridium, money or moonstones as such. I would like to also see different online plays and more In tune screens that show the actually people and be able to interact with them while you wait on the game to load. Someone else also mentioned I. Other forums create more dlc’s for bl2 more vaults I would love to see that just make it where you have to start from the beginning lvl like lvl 72 normal and then move up in difficulty making it more of a challenge instead of a speed run like the newer dlc’s were. Just some thoughts. Tell me you ideas

Im always for more backpack space as well. Apparently the reason 2 and pre sequel had so little bank and backpack space were ram constraints on 7th gen consoles. Im honestly fine with this, but really wish they fixed it in the handsome collection, as there was 16x the ram to work with. Unless it was still a 32 bit program, in which case it would be like 7x the ram.

True dat. I feel like they were extremely stingy with the drop rates in 2 in general. Even if there were no drop rates in BL1, that doesnt give them a pass on having incredibly stingy drop rates. They go like this.

Common 89.92% 9 of 10
Uncommon 8.99% 1 in 10
Rare 0.89% 1 in 100
Very Rare 0.09% 1 in 1000
Very Rare (E-Tech) 0.09% 1 in 1000
Legendary 0.009% 1 in 10000

The farther down the list i go, the less ok i am with these. I just wish uncommon was more like 15%, rare was around 2%, very rare and e-tech both .3%, and legendaries .06%. At the same time, im really glad they buffed unique enemies to drop their specific legendaries 9% of the time, as opposed to 3%. People tend to say the pre sequel is slightly better with vendor rarity. To me, It seems to be buffed to the point that its just as common to get a purple from the pre sequel’s item of the day as getting a blue from BL2’s item of the day, and so on.

The majority of my playtime was on PS3 and PS4. After I got a little older and realized that PC’s are amazing, I decided to transfer everything over to the master race. To be honest, I was strongly debating whether I should start over Bl1 or BL2… I didn’t know which one I would like more. They both had their highlights, most of which I’ve explained in the past few posts. That being said, it sheds some light on a few major issues regarding the success of the next Borderlands game. If Gearbox plays their cards right, I believe that the next Borderlands will be absolutely amazing, grabbing the best out of each game with the addition of some new (yet simple) ideas. What do you like the most out of both?

Id say i like the guns and skill trees the best. The main gameplay for me is about finding the best ways to go about using specific guns, skills, and builds. In this respect, id have to say that borderlands 1 does a better job. There are obviously more guns and characters in 2, but it feels like 1 just knows whats fun. The gear is fun sometimes in 2, but it always seems like they try to tag drawbacks onto them most of the time to stop them from being too good. Honestly i hope borderlands 3 is good, but the second game didnt really have me convinced that gearbox knew what made borderlands 1 so good.

I could enjoy this but continue the “things in common can continue in” like if all three weapons are Vladof the next gun is going to be Vladof but it could be any Vladof if the assault rifles have Dahl barrels the result should have a Dahl barrel.
