I’d been lurking for a while (since BL2 launch effectively) before creating an account. In retrospect, I’m a little surprised it too me that long to sign up, but I had been posting some place else. I notice that I’d stopped posting on the old forums shortly before they were officially shuttered: IIRC that was a conscious decision, although I was posting on both for a little while.
December 3rd or 4th, 2014. It was the day after the TPS hotfix that lowered Iwa’s drop rate for the Christmas event. Joined the forums to spite MAK and Bahroo and Goth for encouraging a riot like total children.
Closed my old account so I can’t get a screenshot, but I’m pretty sure I became active around early 2012. First found the forum and ‘lurked’ a year or so after Borderlands was released. Somewhere around the time that Duncan was asking the community questions about GearCalc and Scottes was doing all of his elemental testing. That was my ‘holy ■■■■’ moment when I realized there was so much more to the game than Old Haven grinding.
Shoutout to all of the really old geezers who were around before Pearls actually became Pearls. Or even the few remaining that joined before Borderlands became a section.

Went digging for this, joined because trading in BL2.
Well, look at that… July 18th, 2014. Over two years of playing Borderlands 2 (wasn’t a member when I was playing BL1) and being active on the forums. My sig isn’t showing up on that link, I kinda miss it:
