Yep. Exactly how I feel
Kelvin is very underrated heās an amazing character with some insane burst damage. The trick is to not just use chomp for finishers but for bursting down targets as well
He takes IMO the most skill to perform well with
As a master of kelvin I can agree that learning kelvin isnāt easy. I still play kelvin a lot and Iām still learning new things with him
When you realize chomp has around a 5 second cooldown, everything is a buffet
Heās weak against ranged characters, which is a mistake I always make, but in close combat Kelvin is king. With good gear, Kelvin can survive pretty well.
Thorn: Instant blight, instant melee with massive knockback.
Pendlesā¦where to beginā¦
When the other team picks him, naturally the scenario you described happens all the time. I go up, KO someone, or two, and run like the dickens. Then, all of a sudden Iām dead because Pendles followed me all the way back to the charging station.
When I pick him, my team members are playing super defensive and I literally never get these chances. So I have to play ultra aggressive just to get the team moving.
Iāve noticed in PVP that FAAARRR too many people are worried about dying or being the highest killer. They play super defensive and then you get a boring ass game. Iām more than happy to go out and take on 2 or 3 guys and give all of them a run for their money. When I donāt have any backup to shoot them while they are shooting me, I have a problem.
Everyone in this game sure acts like a professional, but Iāve seen few who actually know what they are doing.
I do, however, like catching pendles off guard when he thinks nobody can see him. Iāve followed him a number of times. He thinks nobody sees him and I run directly up to him and BLAMO. Dead. LOL
Thatās what I love. Slow, jump, crit with lifesteal to the face, knockback, ult as he flees. Clean and simple. Almost as much as doing the same to ambra at full health and bypassing her overshield
Yes. This so much. Itās a joy sniping invisible blobs and getting KOs
Lol, yep. Youāre one of three who gave me trouble. Sadly your team wasnāt behind you so you couldnāt do as much. But it was terrifying when the screen was purple and I was slowed
If youāre using the Quartermastery Bin, I would suggest +Movement Speed/+Sprint Speed Gear, youāll not only be impossible to catch if things go wrong (revealed or caught red handed) But also traverse the map VERY quickly. Thereās a +5.6 Movement Speed/+5.6 Sprint Speed epic (-heal power) that I use along with any other Sprint Speed gear (Go-Go Juice is best, but I use a -Recoil free sprint gear to get that boost from the start).
As soon as shards spawn, youāll be able to get there before anybody and keep running around collecting all of them. If you are aware of the shard spawn timers, youāre set.
ive done it with miko. It was hilarious. I ran right up to him and stunned him. It was pretty much over with then.
I use the exact time same build with him. Those boots are my favorite piece of equipment in the game just because they make sense
Lol thatās great. I just got good enough to use Sporeshock (Trail of Spores is better if you canāt land the stun. Amazing slows across the entire lane), so Iāve yet to really use it that much. Helps with kills a lot though. (I mainly used him in PVE or super supporty so I am just embracing his skill at shutting down fools)
itās a huge risk/reward to be aggressive with it. Works well with people coming directly at you or hitting you in front. No aiming really, just hit the button.
I blame the team comp and the map personally
Yeah other was sad. There a few who can do great independent of team (Orendi, Thorn, Ambra), but Pendles si the one whoās distinctly hindered by history team, along with Kelvin and Attikus and such
A question- sometimes I see Pendlesā outline after heās stealthed (not that the predator blob is that hard to spot in the open) and Iāve had the outline persist even when he ran behind a building to go destroy some of our back defenses. What exactly causes that? Is it just a bug?
It is indeed a bug. You may have noticed, but effects like slows and dots (Mellkaās and Ambraās especially) sometimes linger in an area. Luckily, they donāt actually affect you, theyāre just animations. Unfortunately for poor Pendles, his passive interacts in a way where those effects, including reveals, can stay permanently attached to him, ruining his game. Remember though, buildables and sentries wonāt see him. Heās not actually revealed, the effect is just still around him. By playing Ambra (two reveals and a DOT), you can exploit this and ruin their day.
