With the huge competition out there especially Onlywatch casting a HUGE shadow on all the other “smart” shooters. What are your plans to enlighten the plebians and preach this games badassery. Im actually quite worried and (shudders) considering buying a different game due to my fears BB might die out quickly cause everyone bought that other shiny game.
Please tell me why everything will be okay and how i will look awesome when i point my middle-finger at Overhype fanbois and tell them they bought the wrong game.

I’m trying, i’m really trying man…
The Magic word is “Borderlands”.
When that game was being made, the hype wasnt there from what i noticed on dutch media. But when the game was released it was a sleeper hit. With Battleborn it will be the same. The media doesnt know what it is and people are sceptic. Reggie from Nintendo once said:“Playing is Believing”
Gearbox alone will determine how successful or unsuccessful Battleborn is. By giving the middle-finger to so-called “Onlywatch” or “Overhype” fanboys, you will only be identifying yourself as a Battleborn fanboy. It is possible to actually like more than one gaming system or game in the same genre, even if those gaming systems or games are competing for players. I recommend thinking for yourself.
TLDR; Don’t be a fanboy. It’s unbecoming.

I Subscribed to your YT channel today hope it helps. I dont think you can rely on dutch media when it comes to gaming i dont even take the Power Unlimited gaming magazine seriously despite having a subcribtion going for several years now
Im just worried ill end up buying Overwatch out of spite in case this game has an underwhelming release due to low sales numbers. And dont worry its not like i will go to random Overwatch vids on YouTube and talk ■■■■. That would make this community look bad

Actually, 2K have a big part in how successful it will be too.
I wonder how many will be buying the game mainly for SP & co-op, modes that Overwatch doesn’t address?
I have a group of friends who are my regular co-op partners. We played during the CTT and absolutely loved BB as a co-op game. I never got the chance to play solo but my view is that it’s going to play like an “old skool” shooter with added bells and whistles. That is, your chosen character fighting loads of enemies through discrete maps (Serious Sam, Hard Reset et al).
I don’t know if GBX/2k have done the marketing research to gauge the split (or overlap) between solo, co-op & MOBA but I don’t feel that they’ve been pushing the “non-MOBA” options enough. And they are the differentiators between BB and Overwatch.
As the hype train finally lurches out of the station for the May release, I’ll be interested to see how the game is positioned.
It should be less of a question of whether or not it will be better than game X and more whether or not it can hold on its own merits.
And don’t get on the hype train. Those things never pass their safety inspections and are prone to crashing.
I remember when borderlands was first talked about am getting the same feeling about this game.
hype train update:in orbit
They could just record people playing and absolutely cracking up at the banter on the campaign missions and just advertise with that. Seriously, this game is hilarious! =)
