@Kurtdawg13 I too have been dubbed “dog/dawg” once or twice, although in 95 I was generally a hippy at punk rock shows and still 3 years from high school graduation myself. And the story of my Gmail is exactly like yours except my birthday was taken as well so I just used Google’s suggested number.
@Lammas That’s a pretty interesting story. I pronounce it “ləm-mas” with an emphasis on the “mas” when I read it. Am I close? Even if I’m not, don’t change it, make others change their pronunciation. No quarter should be given to those with lazy tongues.
@Benedict_87 I’m sorry, but I have to plead ignorance. Is Benedict a character in a game/other media, or your IRL name? Regardless, either way I/we most certainly want to party.

Both a’s are pronouced similar to the a in “what” and in finnish the emphasis is always on the first syllable. The latter is probably what causes most of those funny pronounciations.
Eeh, while I’ve used it for a long time it’s not like I’m that attached to it. I just never figured out what to change it into. Sheep-something probably.
EDIT: So googling that right now I found out that apparently there is such a thing as a “Lammas day” or “Lammas festival” for celebrating harvest. I did not expect this.
EDIT2: And this is not a word that mean a sheep in this case. I think it said it’s held in english speaking countries.

Funnily enough some other friends of mine have a, hmmm… media studio? media enterprize? Something along those lines anyway that started out at that same time as my sheep phase and originally it had a name that would somewhat translate to Flaming Goat (these days it’s just Goat Media although in finnish obviously). Aah, I’m getting of topic here.

That reminds me of when I got my Steam account when I was 12 and a half, I would change my username and avatar constantly.
I still remember a lot of the names I went by before I settled on what I have now.
