Where does the score points come from that are shown at the end of the game?

Hello everyone. I’m new to the game, but so far I’ve been enjoying it. However, at the end of each match there’s a score, kills, assists, etc for each individual. I don’t understand what the score means. I mean how does one go about scoring points?

Each kill counts as 2 points while each assist counts as 1.

You get 2 points for kills and 1 point for assists.
