I won’t lie: I like the idea of using some in-game mechanism to get Golden Keys. I don’t watch Twitter or other social media, so I can’t get Golden Keys, so the Golden chest in both BL2 and the Pre-Sequel is useless to me. It would be nice to have some way to earn keys in-game to keep it relevant, even after the devs stop giving out codes.
I don’t see why it shouldn’t apply to gear as well. I know I’m just as picky about my shield and grenade preferences as I am of my weapon choices. Since each manufacturer has different gimmicks and purposes, there would still be a reason to vary or at least try out other manufacturers, but those folks who really like to keep to just one or two manufacturers could really focus on that. It could work well if it’s true all types of weapons will be available from all manufacturers in BL3.
I dunno, I didn’t give it much thought to be honest. I just thought it’d be interesting to have a system that would support manufacturer allegiance play, something that I was always quite fond of in the previous games. Like, take allegiance relics from BL2 and really expand it into its own separate thing.
There is a website somewhere. I need to find the link but its literally a list of shift codes. Many never had an expiration date and in my case I never used all of them.
I’d love the ability to do an Allegiance run from the start. Some way of starting with a selection of basic weapons from every manufacturer, so you can choose your starting manufacturer right out of the gate and stick with them. It probably won’t happen, but a man can dream.
Hey i’m up for anything that gets me to use a bunch of gear and rewards me for it.
