Which Character Are you Going to Play First? Take two (informed choice)

If you can type in English the words ‘they’ or ‘them’ here, then I don’t see a problem, beyond translation difficulties.

Flak is non-binary, so please use the pronouns they or them when referring to Flak. Thanks.

My guess is you knew that already but decided to be very droll on the basis of some bad info being spread on the internet.

Maybe check your sources?

I myself can use “them” and “they” but it was only a few months ago when I found out that those are considered neutral and not just when you talk about more than one person. Not everyone is as good in english as native speakers, I heard that them/they became neutral not so long ago (not sure about that but that’s what I heard) so not everybody knows that. I’m not saying that you should fell ashamed for banning people or anything as I don’t know if it really happened, I’m just saying that if you do then it’s not cool.

As for my second character I will pick Moze, I’m a really big Titanfall fan so she’s a perfect character for me.

It didn’t. No-one has been banned for the wrong pronouns. It’s just internet misinformation. The only way it would lead to a ban would be if it was done with nefarious intent. It turns out that some ‘content creators’ and ‘writers’ need to generate clicks by misrepresenting facts.

I know, is amazing isn’t it?

What gameplay?

**so I find it extremely funny, that most people are going for Fl4k. So now what happens in coop play, lol, everyone’s group will consist of at least 3 Fl4k and possibly 4. (That’ll suck) So thanks for the poll, lol I’ll be picking Zane, never been one to follow the crowd. **

Mechs are also cool. Still going Moze.

I wanted to like her so bad but her trees seem amazingly boring to me, especially compared with the others

FL4K looks sick as hell. He’s definitely gonna be my favorite.

The soldier characters always sort of feel like beginner characters. I think Moze looks cool, but Zane looks cool AND fun.

Though it may end up being a case of easy to learn, difficult to master in Moze’s case.

The only skill tree I really looked at was Amara’s, but what I remember of Moze’s mentioned a few magazine capacity and RoF boosts.

This reminds me of Heavy Gunner Roland and that’s all I need to look forward to Moze.

All You Need Is Dakka.

My updated picks, along with favored manufacturers:

  1. ZANE, Jakobs + Hyperion
  2. FL4K, Jakobs + Torgue
  3. MOZE, Vladof
  4. AMARA, no idea. Not even sure if I’ll ever play her, honestly.

That is exactly why i made it. I was going to pick FL4K too, I actually thot he was was going to be a lesser choice, Many of my friends were planning on picking Moze, who was originally my first choice, but i have always been one to pick the least used character.

of all the characters thou, the only one’s gameplay I really dont think I would like, is Amara. THat said, THere are going to be plenty of FL4Ks, So my inital pick will likey be Zane. I have a build for him that i am playing around with. Its funny, Zane has mostly frost element damage, and he kinda reminds me of Mr. Freeze (if Mr Freeze was a Austrailian)

At least With multiple FL4Ks they may not have the same pet. Get 3 FL4Ks each with a different pet lol.

Heads, Zane, tails, Amara.

Moze by far seems to have the most interesting tree for my playstyle. I just keep coming up with interesting builds I want to try out.

Sorry, this thread keeps getting waylaid by people looking for that other thread.

I’m trying to get a feel for what people are on board with Moze on. Do you have any builds linked in any of the character specific boards?

I love giant robots and was convinced Moze would be my second, but the sheer amount of customization options the other characters have is turning me off her in a bad way. I’m curious what goodies people are finding in her. If you’ve got anything, link it to me. I’m currently hosing off the flaming wreckage of my psyche, so this seems like therapy.

Edit: Ok, so the prototype Moze builds I saw were a bit misleading because I didn’t realize the character would be able to use two “gun slots”. This makes a lot more sense and brings her up to the customization as the rest of the characters.

I’m still not wow’d by a lot of her options in comparison, but it’s not as bleak as I thought.

I started on Moze because the iron bear mech felt like the baby made by combining soldier turrets, deathtrap, and a catch a ride when it was revealed. The skill trees are just extra icing on the cake. :stuck_out_tongue:

My build focuses on giving Moze sustained fire with a machinegun. And Her Bear is what im Nicknaming “The Scorpion”. Because well… Uses the “Get Over Here” mechanic and then burns them down with fire. Can also swap to dual mini guns for boss fights.

Noice. I dig it! I like the idea of getting close and just going hog in a fireball.

That’s doing it mage style.

There is a section for posts that breach the rules or are otherwise problematic, yes. People aren’t moved there. That can’t be done.

Actually it technically could, but for us to segregate an entire set of users would be far more weird than you think we are. We’ve seen a lot of posts made by people who appear to think that it’s simply delightful and hilarious to sign up and their first post be misgendering, presumably because they think they’re making some sort of point, or wanting a ban, or something. So, many of them have been flagged and hidden or moved. This happens automatically in some cases, by the forum software.

We have rules here. Please read them, I’m sure they’ll help you understand the situation. It explains, amongst other things, the typical circumstances leading to a ban.

We ban folks fairly instantly for racial slurs, homophobic comments, etc. This is beginning to feel like similar territory. We’ve always asked folks to be polite and nice (and not use slurs, or otherwise hurtful speech) and taken steps (up to and including permanent bans) when folks can’t manage to be polite and nice, for whatever reason. What I think I’m seeing here are a load of people explaining at great length why they think they shouldn’t have to be polite or nice towards a specific set of people.

I find this very perplexing. Troubling, even.

Looking at Twitter, there’s a ton of non-binary folks who are very happy indeed to get some recognition in flak. We’re going to ensure that this extends to the forum.
