I was lucky enough to play at the booth for Battleborn 6 times over Gamescom, trying out a wide variety of the characters available. Personally, I will be playing Miko at first.

I actually played Miko almost last out of all of the tries, and was worried how a healer based character would feel in a game that is so focused on the combat and the feeling of blowing shizz up. Turns out, he feels AWESOME. You not only still feel the thrill of fighting, but the heal is super strong and feels so useful when everyone takes so much damage.

Orendi was my next option, sheā€™s pretty fun to play but not really my style. Next to that Marquis. The Sniper function is just perfect, and feels so nice to just scope in and take a quick shot, but at the same time your pistol isnā€™t useless so your not 100% boned if you miss. :smiley:

Iā€™m definitely going to have to play out as Orendi. Her and Phoebe both intrigue me.

Ambra will be the first character i will be playing. She looks and sounds like my sort of character.

I was looking up the 5 characters that arenā€™t listed on the website and came across Benedict who is apparently a hawk guy with a rocket launcher so thatā€™s who Iā€™ll probably play :stuck_out_tongue:

Montana instantly attracted me. As better than average heavy (my record was 64 punched kills in a row in a non melee heavy duty pub) Id love to try the flicking :wink:

Iā€™m hoping Thorn will be my primary. Of course it will all depend on the playstyle.

I usually heal on WoW and TF2, so maybe a Miko. Maybe.

I would literally Pay for a DLC like that in Battleborn or Borderlands.
But I digress: Iā€™m Oscar Mike while my girlfriend is Orendi.

It is Phoebe. Cool looking, interesting to play and easy to understand (well, almost). I just started the game as her and then ā€œWhat, is she melee?ā€ question appeares (yep, didnā€™t watch or read anything about heroes). And no regrets about that actually :blush:

Well, I started the thread in January, nice to see people still replying!

Having had some time during this testing phase, Iā€™m really liking CALDARIUS, MARQUIS, and THORN.

Marquis has some nice abilities, but heā€™s so good at taking out distant enemies and snipers, really liking him. Caldarius is a good in your face class, some good moves and fun to play. I liked Thorn and was my first play, but Marquis has become my favourite so far.

Shame the servers are buggeredā€¦hopefully theyā€™ll get em back up soon.

Try Rath: incredibly sustained , tanky enough to soak some dmg and very mobile.

By the end of the ctt, I did actually find Thorn was my favouriteā€¦bizarrely. I was out killing most of my team by 40-50% in some games. I loved the game play with her. I donā€™t really like melee classes in FPS style games, only in RPG/MMO style like Dragon Age and ESO. When the game does come out, Thorn is gonna be my main girl for sure :smile:
