M0-4, Normal, TVHM, wait for patch?
I’d like to know this myself. I’ve tried farming MH3 recently and legendaries are extremely rare, have seen exactly zero annointed drops. MH4 is a drag and simply not fun.
I’ve stopped playing since last week waiting for the dlc as there’s little point right now IMO.

The droprates are the same m0-m4, M4 has a slightly increased chance of annointment.

I’m interested in this also. My Zane’s about to hit max level and I want some good anointed toys. I thought I read in another thread (that I can’t seem to find) that M2 may be optimal since it’s the best balance of difficulty/speed and drop rates. Is that a fair assumption?
Wait for patch. I was wish I was kidding.

Mythic 4 isn’t bad if you pick your boss. Gigamind is my favorite farm, easy to get to, adds aren’t a big deal and killing him takes about three clips, two from my shock cutsman and one from my fire cutsman. None of which are anointed.
My second favorite farm is General Traunt, I’ve been trying to get a Recursion off him for forever. I start by going and killing the shrieking devil and everything around it, first. Then fast travel to the ruins, walk back into desolation and then hit Traunt.
Now I’ve gotten some cool secondary item anoints, like 25% bonus dmg on grenade throw on a Surge grenade and 50% bonus shock on ASE on a Berner shield.
General Traunt is fun for me at this point, but it was a bit of a struggle to change up my build and tailor my play style to M4 TVHM bossing from M3 TVHM questing. I’d say “Don’t give up!” Unless you aren’t having fun, then maybe take a break and look at what other people, who are having fun, are doing.
When I’m struggling with stuff, it’s usually because I’m not optimizing my time, build, skill or items correctly.
Also, Recursion is fantastic, so is brainstormer and any AoE weapons in M4, like Lumps (love me my Shredded Lump!)
