Does gear with this type of proc mean that it only works with having 300 out of 300 shield and is gone when you were ot receive 1 point of damage?
Yes i would assume so because Shayne and Aurox have an ability that specifies that they have increased damage while their “shield is active.” Meaning if they wanted to specify the armor to act like Shayne’s ability they would have used those words instead.
Just wanted to make sure since gear with a proc like what I posted seems like it would be very easy to remove instantly and the oens that require you to have one with full hp is slightly less harder to keep up since it works well with Battleborn’s with higher then usual shield capacity and regen mid battle or a healer of some sort like Galilea usually deals with
I think the gear really only works with characters that have an overshield and normal shield, and even then the gear’s ability is easy to cancel.
It’s fairly decent gear for characters that stay at the back and snipe at the other team, like Marquis or Whiskey Foxtrot. If you’re going to be in the thick of things I wouldn’t suggest it. One of these pieces of gear that absolutely puzzles me is the damage resistance when shield is full. You get damage resistance for one attack and then you lose it. A little bit puzzling, aye?
Another question does gear that proc off pickups include shard pieces broken or unbroken?
I don’t know the answer to that question yet. I’ll have to test that.
I feel like it would only be good for reyna
Big id on that since if Reyna receives 1 point of damage in her sheild even with over shield I bet the passive is removed.
Toby can make use of it, from behind his shield if not focused.
Another use for this stuff is if you run a small shield build with reduced delay by taking some negative shield items for instance.
Since its small it regens to full quickly and the reduced delay keeps it up more often.
Still not a great contingency, generally not the best type of gear.
I think the full health and full shield conditions should just go. I don’t like them personally.
