I never said that…? It’s generally easier to run up to a Caldarius and Spike than having to perfectly aim your Crossblade with or without Csmash.
Having this whole discussion is pointless. It only leads to disagreement/arguments. It’s all about opinions coming from individual experience.
While someone may say certain character is a counter to another, there will always be players that will prove such point otherwise.
Overall, the only real fact when it comes to counter is That Marcquis owls completely shut downs Pendle stealth atm.
You didn’t say what? Rath definitely counters caldarius easier than other characters.
Gravitic Burst distance is actually reduced by slows but it’s still a dash nonetheless that’ll get him out of Pendles reach. Not to mention Caldy’s burst potential against the large crit spot Pendles has. And since when is Caldy’s crit spot easier to hit than Orendi’s? I’m pretty sure he has one of the smaller crit spots in the game.
Then I’ll either wait for opportunity with it on cooldown, an enclosed area, or smoke bomb to reach back and finish him, that last part is purely starting at level 5. What I do wonder, Is why he has his dash slowed and nobody else
When I’m pendles, I’m always moving to avoid the unnecessarily large crit (bias) and I geuss I’ve never had a hard time critting with pendles, caldarius crit spot is easy for his melee
I never said Mellka’s stuff is easily dodged by a good Caldarius. As for Rath countering Caldarius, in my experience, that’s not very true.
Thorn can just pierce through the shield though, with the penetrating arrows upgrade.
Montana and Reyna both roflstomp Caldarius now since they borked his double jump.
Never really noticed a Rath while playing Cald.
If we’re talking level 5 then that means Caldarius should have access to 30% increased movement speed whenever activating a skill. Gives more of an edge against Pendles. Also, it won’t matter if you’re moving around. A large crit spot is a large crit spot.
No you said “trying to hit a good Caldarius with Crossblade without Csmash probably won’t happen”
I can’t also include random opinions in my argument?
But she is so fragile most Thorns won’t stay in lane with Toby. That little penguin will snap her with a couple shots.
(Just kidding around. That’s probably a good point… Point get it…?Shield pen? Aw)
2 seconds ain’t enough when slowed, flashback is almost always on cooldown, dash is either initiation or escape, pendles at level 5 will likely have escape plan, and that large crit damage can’t be avoided but minimalized somewhat with moving and arms swinging
If we can’t come to an understanding with each other, can we agree to disagree
Pretty sure shield penetration ONLY effects regular shields nothing like physical ones, wards, or tobies shield
That’s just Mell being vulnerable to stuns and slows generally. Of all the CC characters, Toby is actually one of the ones that gives her the least trouble - Kelvin and Deande’s stuns are far more dangerous.
If anything, Mell is a bigger threat for Toby, because she can reach any sniper perch, absolutely devastates him up close, is able to burst him dead once she has Blade Launcher, and can quite happily dive him anywhere and get out alive again.
I was responding to your Mellka response. [quote=“dfabian711, post:19, topic:1552912”]
All of her stuff is easily dodged by a good caldarius right?

Hence the “I never said that”. Though it seems you were putting words in my mouth there.

Let’s just agree to disagree. Pendles has never been a threat to me as Caldarius.
And for me it’s the opposite
How do you feel with ghalt vs montana mid game
They both can rek each other.
So equal, whoever wins is clearly with the smarter play/better character
