Who do yo shoot just out of spite?

Yeah… I was beginning to think that my PC was crapping out on me, but Scavengers seem to be able to stand in the midst of an AoE grenade from time to time, and remain unaffected by it. No damage at all! They simply pick up YOUR LOOT, and then backpedal in an impossible zig-zag pattern, making it more or less impossible to hit them. Yeah… I definetly hate those guys!

more likely, the pickup animation has i-frames.

Scavengers (and Gravediggers for that matter)? I save them for last so I can take my time with them. For Scavengers, I like to set loot traps near environmental hazards and let them walk into my trap. Loot next to a cliff followed by Nuke, loot next to a bundle of shock, slag, and fire barrels, that sort of thing. Gravediggers I try to drop in one shot… tricky given how burly and in-your-face they are. I’ve got more than a few of their heads on my trophy wall.

This isn’t limited to the pick up animation. They can basically stand within the AoE for the whole duration of it, and take absolutely no damage at all.

I believe Scavengers gain the combined damage reduction of every shield they’ve snagged since the game’s release.

Not really, but they have some very wonky hitboxes. Chain Reaction usually doesn’t proc from them as it should and they’ll frequently kill an MMF chain by just ignoring a perfectly legit Execute.

I used to blame it on their stupid backpacks acting like a shield the way it does for some Savages and Skellies but that wouldn’t explain how their heads sometimes aren’t susceptible to crit.

On topic, the only thing I don’t kill is the little baby Bullymong who spawns in Knuckle Dragger’s area. I imagine it brings me luck, I can chat to it about the parts on the white-quality Jakobs pistols I invariably get while looking for a Hornet and it usually backs off after a couple of token attacks anyway.

In the Beatdown I kill everything twice. Just to make the point. I really hate that place.

Oh, since I went to Gingerton this morning;
I always shoot the two bullymongs, er, yetis that stroll between the trees as you leave Marcus’s magic cabinet. They deserve it.

I go to Deception before they spawn so I can use them as Execute targets to get to my snowman farm faster :smiley:
