It can take streamlining or abandoning build alltogether to suit M10 even with M10 gear passed from wrecking character. Or chars will be stuck on different Ms and it splits stockpile by levels making passing loot from char to char flawed. 2.0 will loose flexibility of current system in that regard.
Eh. It might just work as is if not on M10 then on some Mx will be good middleground.

Well, if it is anything like the current system, then that statement is false. And one of things I hope they truly address. In the current system most of my really good gear all came from M2 and lower. Playing M3 and M4 (outside of M4 specific drops) has mostly been lower quality gear, even in the anointment department.

Lol what? There is a huge difference between drop rates from Mayhem 4 and Mayhem 1. Run a Slaughtershaft and tell me how many legendaries you get on each.

Me too , I will always try the hardest 1st and get used to it early as possible, you get better guns that way.

It’s not about the number of legendaries, but the quality.
As told, M3 and M4 are “supposed” to provide the quality gear. But from most sources, especially dedicated sources, I start of farming at M4 , drop to M3, then end up at 2 before what I really wanted drops.
That has been my experience to this point. I hope that changes. M4 especially should be providing the quality gear. At this point it has the same anointment rate as M2 for me.
I could not care less how full the map is littered with orange drops, but rather the quality of the orange drops.
They gotta up the dedicated drops in high mayhem for sure. If I want to try my luck in farming Lob with certain element and annointed then I go to Graveward and it should drop 80-100% the time and annointed 80%-100% the time per kill. If I want Hellshock then I go to Gigamind.
Game litters too much world drops which it’s good yes but bad because I’m seeing dedicated drop appearing like 10% of the time which is kinda bad

If you’re talking about dedicated drops specifically, I agree they are a problem. Otherwise though, all Mayhem Mode promises to do is to provide increased legendary drop rates which obviously gives you a better chance to find something good. I don’t see how you could deem which drops are “quality” drops because a drop or anointment that one person may love may be trash in the eyes of another person.

Sorry but there are some annointments that are just utter trash no matter what. Anything accuracy anything fire rate is just there to troll players period.
I’d rather them to not exist if it ment we get less clutter of loot that are outright worthless.

Im not saying that everything is actually equal, just that the game’s RNG weights everything equally. I agree they need to maybe remove some of the wasted Anointments, but as of now the game has no internal “quality” system to differentiate good guns/Anointments , and I don’t think there’s going to be.
Personally I never liked dedicated drops as a way to target specific items anyway. There are better ways to let players target specific items and stat rolls.

Well, the majority of drops I see in M4 typically have no anointment.
For example farming Atomic and Sylestro.
Between the two, on average, there will be four to five legendaries.
If I’m lucky, one has an anointment.
More often than not, it is while sliding or while airborne.
At the minimum, I would expect four out of the five to be anointed, and at least one with a decent, quality anointment.
Instead, when farming them for a shield with FL4K at M2, I received the best Red Suit I have ever seen, and all but one of the items had anoints.
Totally backwards and something I hope is addressed in Mayhem 2.0
The harder the content, the BETTER the rewards should be. In the current system, it truly is not like that. That is all I am saying.

How do you know that RNG weighs the anoints equally? While I have no knowledge of the actual code that decides what anoint goes on a weapon, my experience tells me that they are definitely not weighted equally.

there is no reason or indication that anointments are somehow separated into tiers

And again, how do you know that? You don’t. My experience tells me that they are because there are ones that show up far more often than others. Item drops are certainly weighted so why do you think that anoints aren’t?

there is just no logical reason for it
it makes no sense for game design
so i think that you are just interpretating something from your RNG experience here

Because there’s no proof otherwise anywhere, so until you see proof otherwise you have to assume it doesn’t exist. How do you prove whether or not Santa is real?

You’re stating opinion as if it’s fact. I don’t assume anything. There is proof but only those with access to the code have it.
Very few things in games are truly random.

But there is. Games always make the most desirable items the most difficult to get.

desirable is a matter of opinion here
most people would prefer moze 30% CD anointment on shields
i dont, because i dont like kill skills
and the devs dont just decide what people desire
there are some tiers like exclusive drops from wothan and anoint/non anoint
but between general world drops
there are no class mods with specific skill boni that drop more ofthen than others just because people think, these rolls are better
its pure RNG because everything else would be terrible gamedesign
At the very least, anointments and I think COMs seem skewed towards your character; I see mostly Zane anointments on my Zane, and Moze anointments on my Moze. You can still get a non-class matched anointment, but it´s weighted against.
So the anointments being also weighted by tier would not be illogical, although the problem then would be what is a “tier” since it´s very player build, item, and preference dependent. Confirmation bias is also a factor in telling this apart.

What’s going to happen to my beloved Seventh Sense? It’s a beast on M4 but it’s not going to be much good on the higher mayhem levels and as a quest reward and console player there’s no way of getting a higher specced version.
