Who is the most hated characters for you guys?

it’s soon to be ernest, calling it now!

Why is that? I can understand Alani is useful for that burst heal towards tanks. Ambra play multiple roles besides healing but Miko doesn’t stay behind with his consistant heals.

Funny you say this.

Each character definitely has that initial “hate splash.” I’m wondering how Ernie’s will be. I could see it being the least so far, honestly.

Alani was legit overpowered when she debuted. She needed multiple nerfs on multiple stats/skills to be brought into balance. Before that, the hate was STRONG.

Pendles was balanced, but his Modus Operandi as the uber-stealthed assassin was sure to provoke outrage. It did.

Assuming Ernie isn’t legit OP, he could be the least hated. That’s what I’m hoping for.

He also could do Benedict’s damage with Orendi’s hitbox and Kleese/Alani’s level of territorialism, so…

simply put I think people will call OP because he’s the only character that does things like buff attack and reload speed so the teams that have him without having an enemy ernest will be at a severe disadvantage if the ernest team gets any foothold. imagine trying to take the perch in overgrowth back from a kleese and ernest up there with rifts and that egg. I like his style of gameplay but the fact that he’s the only one with buffs like that at all means it’ll be pendles kind of hate I think(Alani didn’t add anything new gameplay element wise just applied existing things in different ways) pendles and ernest add new dimensions with the existence of their characters and the playstyles they encourage(as you’ve seen with the pendles threads lately)

This is very true. Alani didn’t shift paradigms even at her most broken, she was just statistically dominant. Hit too hard, healed too much, too survivable.

Pendles changes any game he’s in, and Ernie could do the same. I could see a situation where nerfs come in quick and strong.

sadly, especially since his buffs to allies are deployables based

I don’t get what you are saying. To explain what I was saying, miko behind gali allows for gali to chase kills. Boldur doesn’t have anywhere near as much ability to get kills himself, so he’s better off just pressing up and pushing people back jumping in front of the minion wave and getting a burst heal every now and then. Not to mention he can keep himself alive so I don’t need a pocket miko, I’d rather have a support that can deal more damage to make up for the damage I’m losing with boldur. If a boldur miko combo comes at me I’m just going to mind my positioning and ignore boldur and go after miko. Gali will pull you in and destroy you, boldur can’t do that.

pendles strength is his cloak. Marquis, ambra nd orendi are all meta characters w reveals nd make pendles useless, hes not OP at all. I dont wanna cry before the characters even released but a grenade launcher that goes across the map, increasing damage on hits along w an attack speed nd aoe damage reduction buff + benedict level escape… ouch…I mean either the devs suck or that guy just went like 10-0 his second time playing a character

I understand. It does make sense. One question for you. I’ve read a couple of posts in this forum claiming Boldur does more damage than Gali. I only played Boldur once and didn’t like him because of how low his damage output seemed to be. Sounds like you have played both characters for a good amount of time, what’s your point of view on damage for these 2 characters?

Oh it’s not close lol, gali does way more. If you get boldur to ten and take the helix that gives him extra damage based on his health, then he hits disgustingly hard. Boldurs individual melees do more, but he attacks so slow and is harder to land hits with so Gali will deal more damage. Plus when she pulls them the damage amplification kicks in. Any chance of a boldur kill depends on a stun. Gali can get kills without either ability. But to be honest I don’t play boldur to deal damage. I play boldur because he’s a nightmare to kill and I draw all the aggro for the team.

You really do love miko dont you, nothing against that of course

I actually hate miko lol but if mikos an option I’d love to have em on the squad.

Oh okay you made it sound so different, just a question what character do you hate the most in personality

Benedict. But I haven’t played today since the update so idk if I would still hate him as much.

Hah your one of the few who hate his personality, I personally never understood the huge love for it, I always think it because he is one of the good guys and that people love the fact he is not some goodie goodie at the same time (I find him funny due to accent to be honest, well and what he says)

Personally Benedict annoys me because he reminds me of people I knew where I worked last

Well that sucks😕

Not really, it just tells me they got the military personality down perfectly

They were/are in the military (you too?)
