IMO, RE5 was the end. Code Veronica was the pinnacle for me. Anyone who says Dark Souls is the hardest game ever made has not played Code Veronica. In fact, the long transitions between save points (the only ā€œdifficultā€ and rage worthy thing about Dark Souls) was partly borrowed from Resident Evil, itā€™s part of what made the franchise so famous (and notorious)

If only theyā€™d actually properly remaster it instead of just throwing it in the PS store with the same blocky graphics and controls, Iā€™d buy it again.

Iā€™m terrible at the Souls games (Iā€™m giving Bloodborne another shot.) but Code Veronica still holds up pretty well. Back to movie talk, the one thing I hated about the Resident Evil films was Milla Jovovich. Every single movie starts out with her bland dialogue. ā€œMy name is Alice and the Umbrella Corporation is EVIL.ā€ Really? Ugh.

I need a Tarantino film to watch.

LOL right?! When I watched the new trailer I was like, ā€œMy name is Aliceā€ and sure enough she said it! Six movies later, get some new material sheesh. If the movies had have stayed true to the games (at least the story of the first 3-4, it got pretty obscure after that) and Alice simply didnā€™t exist, they may have been fantastic. Shouldā€™ve let the Japanese handle them, Iā€™d be all for anime movies or even an anime series that holds true to the core story.

Wasnā€™t sure how I felt about Baby Groot now Iā€™m okay with it, and Batista has come a LONG way since his wrestling days. Turned out to be a badass actor.

My only problem with Baby Groot is that heā€™s a walking, talking Checkov Gun. Itā€™s pretty much a given at some point theyā€™ll be in a tight jam and heā€™ll suddenly go adult Groot as he is wont to in the comics. Past that, Iā€™m behind it.

Drax is my favorite character. He does do a great job playing him. Couldnā€™t imagine anyone else.
