I have 3:
Ghalt: his controlling abilities and efficient killing power make him amazing and fun to play as

Caldarius: once you learn how to use his energy blade properly this man is a beast. His speed and power are unmatched by many

Boldur: boldurs tankiness and his runes of power make boldur a huge favorite and still has one of my favorite lines:
“Run RUN FROM BOLDUR!!!”

I love to play both Mellka and Caldarius.

Caldarius, gotta go fast. With a Scuff controller, playing him on console is epic amounts of fun; Dodging pulls from Shayne/Ghalt or stuns from Galilea/Montana, being able to dash and shoot accurately makes gunfighting anyone a breeze and that mobility at level 5… I love me some mobility. Vroom vroom Caldy.

Mellka is a solid pick as a brawler, in my opinion. She can slow if you get close and effectively kite you longer, she has an escape that gives her insane mobility and launches her through the air, her Venom Canisters are very rewarding to land hits with IMO, her level 8 helix to proc venom off of bullets makes her DPS skyrocket… Shes a beast if you play her right and she just clicks with me as a solid fallback pick no matter what

man this is why i love battleborn so much

so many awesome characters and ways to play the game.

i feel like u get more attached to the characters, compared to overwatch where people just switch characters 20 times a game.

Boldur because he’s the berserker archetype in tank form. I kinda wish he was an attacker so he would be like a reckless killing machine. I mean he already is (once you get to level 10), but just imagine the kind of damage he could do if he was an attacker. Makes me drool.

Caldarius - I just love the playstyle so much. It feels like the right amount of this and that, so that I always have an option. I can be very strategic or I can pull off the impossible in a moment of pure adrenaline. I can go full on aggressive or zip right out to live to fight another day. Fits like a glove. I especially like his dialogue, like when he dies and says, “finally.” lol Such a nice touch. It sorta adds depth to the character and makes him - this transformer looking battle machine - seem more interesting. The troubled hero, the tired weapon heh Before Cal, I loved Galilea for much the same reasons. But yeah, Caldarius is awesome :slight_smile:

Kleese because he can do everything.

Heal, shield, overshield, DPS, wave clear, sniper…

I enjoy laughing manically as enemy players try to run away while I taze them, straight into one of my rifts.

You just got beaten by a retiree! MUHAHAHA

Ambra was my first love. Then mastered.
Then Kleese…once again mastered.
Since then I have bouncing around the other Battleborn getting everyone’s lore done. I had fun ganking people with the chain trap combo with Ghalt. Bouncing around with Thorn and Mellka. Dashing around with Caldarus. Benedict was a chore but fun at times. Whiskey grew on me, especially once I got the napalm mutation, loved finishing Oscar mike out with a few pokes to the belly, groin and especially the butt when he tries running, even moreso when he is cloaked. I thought capture was great for Deande. Orendi was fun with her short cooldowns, skill attack skill attack skill attack skill attack nonstop. Isic is a beast, very fun to play as. El dragon has a ways to go with minion kills and closelining groups of enemies but…
Right now I am on Galilea, searching for the unicorn, Ambra.

ORENDI :heart: Orendi is love, Orendi is life.

Then I mastered Phoebe, she rocks gameplay-wise, but I dislike her character >.<

Next on my list of love are Shayne & Aurox, Rath, Oscar Mike and Miko. Just awesome character-designs and OM´s lore is so adorable :smile:

Kelvin. I really love his chomp. I can only imagine how much of a scary sight it must be to see him come after you with his jaws wide open. I also can relate to his personality.

All around best overall character is Oscar Mike.

  1. Space Lasers!
  2. Invisible every 15 seconds!
  3. Scoped range shots that mow Thrall.
  4. Long distant fireball bombs.
  5. Fitness freak!

I was a huge Miko fan until I started playing Reyna. And you are sooo right with this. I can’t keep track of the number of times that overshield/heal has prevented the death of a DPS team mate.

My hands down favorite is a good minion push (full pack, 2 or 3 thralls, and an elite bot) making it to the sentry and OM goes to drop his ult and I throw up the bubble. It’s satisfying to see him do virtually no damage as the minion mob melts the sentry.

Shayne & Aurox. I always seem to perform well with them, their engage potential is massive and can easily disengage other melee from their own team. I also like Orendi because of her personality.

I can’t just choose 1. There are so many good characters with fun personalities. So, I think my top 3, in no particular order;

1.) Boldur. Halarious personality, great kit, great ability to tank, and most importantly Boldur “PRESSES ALL THE BUTTONS!”

2.) Galilea. Always loved the sword and board style. She gets to pretend to be Captain America, tons of CC, and pretty good survivability. Not to mention a helix option to cover up one f her weaknesses of Range (so long as her health is full). Never got to try her when she was truly OP, so I am happy with where she is.

3.) Phoebae. Quirky personality, much higher DPS and assassin style than I am use to, the ability to teleport, and a proper balance of elegance and science. Phoebe is bae.

@chodespode, This is hard as “favorite” should be singular but I don’t have just one.
Of the characters I have played so far, here is my breakdown of favorites not in any particular order:

  1. Benedict: He’s not the strongest, fastest, most powerful etc., but he is so much fun. Flying over the landscape, raining death and destruction (except in Sabo, f%^$# that laggy-a$$ map).
  2. Ambra: She is all things, damage dealer, melee, healer. She is just a total blast (pun intended).
  3. ISIC: funniest lines, best humor, does all the damages and he can spawn camp like a boss (also pun intended).
  4. Oscar Mike: the swiss army knife of BB, Revive king! High-speed damage-dealing mob-smasher plus grenades!
  5. Reyna: She makes a team, pulls them together. She is a great healer, can do the damages and sets the tone of the battle. Priceless.
  6. Miko: Miko grows on you (pun intended). When I play Miko I feel more protective of my team even when they don’t need healing (rare). He can lay down damage, crits like a boss. Keep my peeps alive. Love the game play.
  7. Montana: The big lummox is a blast. When played right he’s a god. Played wrong he’s just in the way.
  8. Rath: Refugee from a cosplay convention he is both squishy and deadly. Great fun. It is such a rush to go crashing into a pile of Thrall Brutes and just f&^%$ing go nuts.
  9. Melka: She was hard to learn but soooo worth it. Bouncing all over the place, hit and displace, strike and disappear, poison things and watch them melt. It never gets old.
  10. Kelvin: When I play Kelvin I forgot everything but CHOMP! Ending a match with mega-HP, Chomping wussy-a$$ skavens in one bite, standing toe-to-toe with bosses and not worrying is invigorating.
  11. Marquis: I love the sniper aspect, always have. But Marquis is different. Houdini is a blast (pun intended). I love waiting in the back, picking off targets with impunity. Plus let’s face it, his melee is a back-hand. It’s hilarious to back-hand a thrall enforcer.

Ok, so I love them all (that I have played).
