Because ‘tortured lone wolf’ is a change of pace? O.o Well i personally hate that but its DEFINITELY a mega-popular character type for certain demographics.
Oh no, not a change of pace in general, but within the game’s roster of characters. There are quite a few that are hilarious to mildly funny. I know the tone of the game is largely based in humor, but its nice to have characters that fall on the opposite side present too. I also really dig her backstory and lore so thats just me haha.

I just don’t understand this. Rath isn’t hard to fight against at all. Is it the ultimate that gives you problem (the spin move he can only use once every minute)? I mean, it is his ultimate and should be a killer move.
See Phoebe has to be my fav character followed by Orendi (because well i love me some Ashley Burch VA). Phoebe’s lore is just so great and amazing adding a lot to her character. Boldur all around just kind of sucks as a character.
I feel Gal is an overpowered character because her ulti makes her invincible 1 and she heals 2. That has what made me hate her but that and her stun comes back so ■■■■■■■ quick.
Thorn i do like, but as more of an occasional play style change, also everyone says Ambra is so overpowered but i feel like she is balanced as she is her homing beam doesn’t have a ■■■■ ton of range and she is slow and easy to outrun. The worst part about her is the Ulti and thats easy enough to avoid.
I honestly feel Both Marquis and ISIC are sub par characters and are just there I don’t really dig them.
Boldur is a great character, personality and power wise with interesting mechanics, not a backstabbing stuck up spoiled prissy dancer. He makes fun of sword users when he kills them, as he should!
I completely disagree with your statement respectfully. With that said its exactly what has just gone on between us that gearbox wanted. Players to have their preferences for their character depending on how they play.
So you dont like his playstyle, his powerlevel, or that hes a funny, aggressive but kind hearted jolly violent nature protecting druidic dwarven warmachine who mourns his battle bear companion? He does have a very interesting Ultimate, and i think Whiskey does too. To me, “do damage in this area” is about as boring as ultimates get =/. I’m all for people feeling like Boldur is weak :). I like the fact that he uses Kelvins ‘ice to meet you’ on accident sometimes and does call phoebe a “spoiled sword user who needs to make friends” 
Usually i’d hate a character like Shayne (rebel teenager ! angst! demographics!) but then they did her so well with Aurax.
Love Orendi though, despite the fact that shes typecasted so hard. Could easily confuse Orendi with Ayla.
yes but I should not be able to solo 3 people with him. his ult does so much damage that its insane. built right he can have so much life steal. in no moba game should my ult allow me to take out a tank character at full health.
Unlike in Borderlands, the available Battleborns I can’t really say that I dislike his or her.
Maybe from a gameplay perspective, but from a writing standpoint I’m at worst indiffirent about some of them.
It can? What tank? Its 1000damage over 4 seconds, if helix’d it can do 45% more if his shields are depleted. No tank has HP that low =/ my ultimate literally eats his.

Least favourite would be Galilea. I know it’s a typical and predictable choice for a least favourite but it’s obvious why. I feel like her health is fine, her damage is fine, but she moves too fast. From what I remember anyway. I feel like she should be slower and for what she is capable of, closing the gap and doing what she does best should be the reward for her “should be” low speed. I tried her out but her play style isn’t really for me.
Another least favourite is Ambra but I don’t have to talk about that as we already know. Whiskey foxtrot being my third least favourite. I feel like his abilities are lackluster in comparison to Oscar mike’s and I see no reason to use Whiskey over Oscar. That’s just me anyway.
Those are the only three I’m not too fond of, even after the patch to Galilea and Ambra, they still typically had the highest scores out of the PvP matches I played. I could be wrong but those are just my thoughts from my experiences. Maybe I didn’t fully utilise Whiskey or couldn’t find better counters for Ambra or Galilea. I can’t see them being drastically changed so it’s best to come up with strategies that defeat them and get used to seeing them.

I tore apart Montana after destroying an Oscar Mike then a Phoebe.
Ignoring that none of them are Tanks, montana DOES have a staggering HP pool that i highly doubt your ultimate cut through. Not to mention all of his abilities counter it.
first montana is a tank, he is classified as a defender, the insane amount of hp he has is the replacement of his armor. second I don’t know what to tell you other then I hit him from behind at full hp and he died by the time my ult ran out.
Hes an initiator/disruptor because of ranged slow/knockups/knockbacks etc. Lots of HP does not a tank make, hes a huge target for ranged people and even though he has good mitigation (his skills dont specifically say how much) i’d just think of him as an off-tank, real hard to keep alive.
He’d probably have 3000hp by that point and a few dmg mitigation options, so someone else must of been shooting him, probably a marquis who cant hit anything smaller than montana
caldarius is the only one i felt had no chance at soloing story but maybe because im not used to hit and run (that far) but what really bothers me is it’s size. maybe becuse it doesn’t have a neck. maybe because my cousin suggested it could be a girl, but i felt it’s design is strange. i didnt liked phoebe attitude that much, and deande at first but she’s got an emote with a funny face and that made me play her so much i almost made her my main. almost. galilea and boldur are super fun to me.
maybe kelvin semed a Little too fragile for a tank, and kleese seemed insanely light at hps but his roles is not a frontman so that’s ok.
no, im not hating anyone really, i just felt i didnt had enough time to reach 15 with everyone :v
was no marquis or any sniper on my team. and a lot of hp does make a tank. in some cases that is the defining feature.
I dislike Boldur and Toby, probably because i really wanted to like them but i did not think they played very well.
Yeah I feel you on that, Toby doesn’t play how he looks. He looks like he can take a beating but that mech suit is made of cardboard!
