Ignoring that none of them are Tanks, montana DOES have a staggering HP pool that i highly doubt your ultimate cut through. Not to mention all of his abilities counter it.
first montana is a tank, he is classified as a defender, the insane amount of hp he has is the replacement of his armor. second I donāt know what to tell you other then I hit him from behind at full hp and he died by the time my ult ran out.
Hes an initiator/disruptor because of ranged slow/knockups/knockbacks etc. Lots of HP does not a tank make, hes a huge target for ranged people and even though he has good mitigation (his skills dont specifically say how much) iād just think of him as an off-tank, real hard to keep alive.
Heād probably have 3000hp by that point and a few dmg mitigation options, so someone else must of been shooting him, probably a marquis who cant hit anything smaller than montana
caldarius is the only one i felt had no chance at soloing story but maybe because im not used to hit and run (that far) but what really bothers me is itās size. maybe becuse it doesnāt have a neck. maybe because my cousin suggested it could be a girl, but i felt itās design is strange. i didnt liked phoebe attitude that much, and deande at first but sheās got an emote with a funny face and that made me play her so much i almost made her my main. almost. galilea and boldur are super fun to me.
maybe kelvin semed a Little too fragile for a tank, and kleese seemed insanely light at hps but his roles is not a frontman so thatās ok.
no, im not hating anyone really, i just felt i didnt had enough time to reach 15 with everyone :v
was no marquis or any sniper on my team. and a lot of hp does make a tank. in some cases that is the defining feature.
I dislike Boldur and Toby, probably because i really wanted to like them but i did not think they played very well.
Yeah I feel you on that, Toby doesnāt play how he looks. He looks like he can take a beating but that mech suit is made of cardboard!
A good Toby can be a game changer.
True, was just saying he looks more durable than he actually is
I didnāt get to play the open beta much as that week we had family stay with us for my mother in laws memorial. I didnāt even get to open up boldor, whom I wanted to try the most, so I can only answer to the ones I opened up.
With that said I really wasnāt fond of phoebe. I see others wrecking with her so it was probably something I was doing wrong but I stank up the place with her. Also wasnāt fond of isic. I can see how he will get good in several levels but didnāt have the patience to do that, although when the game launches I do want to give him a go as his voice work is incredible.
Iām surprised at the whiskey foxtrot dislike. I enjoyed him and thought he was great at single target dps although I agree his grenades felt lacking in oomph.
Probably Deande for me. Not because of her skills. I actually love the way she plays but I feel like she just needs a slight buff.
In both cases (isic, boldur) the defining feature seems to be 2000hp shields. Gali and Isic neither have outstanding HP, gali just feels like a tank with her sustain and mitigation which makes you an efficient target to heal too. I guess montana tanks in the sense that he takes damage for the team because hes like a bright shiny beacon to every ranged character, then even he doesnt last long
if only they made helmets that small
Whiskey because he was so weak and doesnāt stand a chance. He isnāt supportive or helpful to the team at all. He needs some serious buffs. I also dislike Kelvin because I felt like I was doing nothing. To be fair I am not a big melee fan but I can do pretty good with phoebe or rath just kelvin seems hard to use. Most likely just not my play style.
and there is the fact that he has an excellent slow, if built right through the helix has excellent life regain in and out of battle, and his ult gives him damage negation/reflection.
Its all true, without a tank hes definitely a good guy to stick too (because miko can hide behind him) But i went from montana to isic to boldur and⦠Having the shield does make quite a difference. Wouldnt call it EXCELLENT regen but his damage mitigation is good, extra % on his hailstorm. Iād like to play him again, i probably will on release until i unlock Boldur
WF definetly needs more love in here.
I totes will be playing as that guy however.
Least favorite to play was Whiskey Foxtrot. I just couldnāt get the hang of him and I didnāt feel like he had versatile options.
