Try to understand something from a newcomers perspective for a moment here. New people playing homeworld 1 then homeworld 2 right after might question why the sudden changes in the voice actors, The way it’s done now makes the flow smoother and more consistent in my opinion.

I understand that you have a team of over HW2 Remaster the original, but it does not change the essence of what is happening - the voice in the HW2 classic good that would cut it like this, would have left it in the menu to select it!
What is happening here is that the above post I made applies to Homeworld. The remastering of homeworld involves going back and changing things the original developers wanted to change. The Homeworld 2 voices would be good maybe for you, but that’s not the original team wanted to begin with. If you want it so badly you could probably mod it in yourself. I myself prefer the Homeworld 1 voice actors, Not that I didn’t mind Homeworld 2, the Homeworld 1 felt like it had more “soul” if that makes any sense. but to each their own we’re just going to have to agree to disagree.

I’m a fan of both voice actors. I am happy to have either one in the game. <3

Remastered ships with the original versions of the games, too. So you can always play them if you want the untouched versions that have only been updated to work on modern PC’s.

The Classic games work just fine for me. I have all 3 installed, and running in win 8.1. You have to play around with it to get them going, but they do work (in widescreen too). However it would be nice to be able to play the classics without going into regedit.

Also, let’s give some credit to gearbox. Without them believeing in homeworld, this wouldn’t have been possible.
There is one complaint that I have with the voice actor change. We won’t have the sexy Karen Easter Egg.
My statement was towards Gearbox’s credit =) I fully appreciate the effort they’ve done into reviving the franchise.
I do not mind a woman’s voice, I am concerned about men.
The whole game is based on the details, we still expect surprises?!

I’m not saying they are bad, the team has done a good job - was just a shame to lose such actors in the game 
Hm for me the cast of hw1 was the original cast. I remember when I first played Hw2 that I was actually disappointed that Heidi wasn’t there as Fleet command. But after time I also accepted the actors in HW2. Both teams did great jobs in both games.
As as nostalgic I’m just glad we got either one of the teams back. Imagine an entirely different voice cast. Now that would be blasphemy.

That is fine, but you were given a response and things are not going to change. Nothing is gained by continuing to complain about an issue that will not be resolved by constant complaint.
Wait for a mod release with the original voices if it matters that much to you.

My first acquaintance with the game was in the Homeworld Cataclysm way back in 2001 year , Just at that time began to develop Homeworld2 - Waited with impatience!
A few years later - more precisely in 2005, I tried to play Homeworld 1 - pixel graphics embarrassed me greatly - I was pleased and enjoyed it, I love this story!
For me, the voice actors were familiar - I liked all of them.
I hope that there will be mod that will return voices as the were!

Developers have their own ORIGINAL vision, they explained the voice choice more than once. You can not dictate to them. Panimaesh?
