I’m sorry but all of those developers release buggy shazzy games. The only good one is Ubi who tend to fix their stuff, way late. I respect it, but would respect them more of they just released a game that didn’t need a minimum of 6 months worth of patches.
Yes, I’m being pretty serious about it, no I don’t think all Montreal developers are tush stains, as there are several who were forced to relocate for work ;-p
I never had any problems with bugs playing Ubisoft or Eidos games personally, on console, and Deus Ex Human Revolution ran fine on my PC. I hear Ubisoft PC ports are a mess though.

100% it failed.
Doesn’t mean it was bad. It just wasn’t going to be able to stand on its own two IP-feet because it wasn’t Borderlands.
I think about it and I’m very sad. I think there was a lot of Battleborn that I like batter than Borderlands 3.

I think Battleborn’s main issue was the visuals, particle effects often cluttered the screen, and there were some balance issues with certain characters far outclassing others.

I’m so glad I was sitting down when I read this. I never imagined Borderlands having right wing conservative fans.
Well…kinda cool, I guess.

That would be “Hey Ash Whatcha Playin’” and it’s still out there on youtube. Some of the episodes are mediocre, some of them risk snorting coke onto the keyboard (soda pop, not anything alcoholic 'cause none of us drink n 'net, right?).
Really warped, and really delightful.

You think a game with tons of guns where you fire guns and the galaxy’s biggest companies sell guns and you solve every problem with guns wouldn’t have any right wing fans?
I beg to differ.

Good point. And a game with such rampant sexuality and powerful female characters, especially now with a non-binary individual would attract the extreme left.
Clearly the universe of Borderlands is a wonderland where there is something for everyone!

Trying to be a writer in a 2019 world for something thats meant to be offensive such as borderlands or any other “riskay” kind game/movie has to be a rough job. It can make you a hero and you did your job well or be viewed horribly by public media and ruin your whole career.
Online reviews and such and political correctness groups have really sucked the fun out of alot of games and made them very tame. Look at Mortal Kombat 11. No more mileena ninjas and half-wardrobes, even the godfather of mature rated games has changed outfits on characters to appeal to women activist ■■■■. One of my good friends is pissed at Mortal Kombat for taking away the sexy outfits but 10x the number of her are glad they are gone. Goes to show you making a mature rated game in 2019 is not what it used to be you’ll have people trying to take your jobs for making anything they find offensive.
Luckily Indie Developers are stepping up, they dont have a mega corporation to lose over politcal incorrectness.

People really try to fish for ■■■■ that’s not there. It’s been years, people move on for various reasons. Some personal, some for bigger fish and so on.
Believe it or not having some position at 2K and Borderlands series is not a pinnacle of the career path for talented people with hunger for more. People seem to be shocked that creators don’t devote their whole lives to some niche title.
It’s your usual small game at the bigger boys league, just like you are not sitting at same place for 5 year plus, so they don’t.

You’re totally right. I feel like it’s an america thing that doesn’t really exist in other game companies in Europe . Like your political views has anything to do with your game ? That’s straight up ■■■■■■■■, influence of any kind exists everywhere and depends of time and space. There’s all kind of crazies in Borderlands, it’s chaos and largely influenced by Mad max. I don’t see anybody insulting philosophes, writers that were communist or racist like Lovecraft, hell everybody loves their works and thesis. Even when a group of writers are together, it doesn’t mean it will be a better story than a single writer; novels are the perfect example of it, almost the entirety of european classics were written by one writer per one novel and their works are a lot more difficult to analyze and more complex than modern novels. In you haven’t done all-round literature studies, you will probably never truly get a grasp of most stories you read; literacy criticism also brings higher levels of understanding. If you keep all of this in mind, it’s no wonder people can struggle writing a story together even if it’s their job and they’re “intelligent” each in their own way.
