I donā€™t even know how to copy a save file on PS4 and it happened to me.

My guardian rank isnā€™t negative but my available tokens are. The game crashed I think right as I killed something to level up. When I loaded back in it looked like all my tokens got reset then I noticed my unlocks on the right were still lit. So I re assigned them and it went up. Then looked closer and it didnā€™t reset the stats on the left.

So I now have more tokens assigned than I have rank due to a game glitch lol.

You are getting this ā€œbugā€ if you over spend your guardian tokens to your current rank. This happens when a bug in the game tries to justify the exp needed to gain a level at lower ranking, making you recieve more guardian points than youā€™ve actually accumated. The game then rewrite the problem by giving you a negative token bonus until you recieve your actual guardian rank. Check how many points you put into Passives vs your actual guardian rank and you will see it accumulates to your negative number.

Tl:Dr the game bugged and made you get more guardian points than your actual rank for being in a lower game. Join your actual game and if you used the bug to over level you get a negative number.

Yeah it definitely doesnā€™t just take away the free points it gives, Iā€™m at -80 and it started days ago with me getting a rank and noticing I had 20 to spend, to make it worse it doesnā€™t seem to be going down at all, it also doesnā€™t give all the ranks youā€™ve earned as is fairly evident if you tally the bar completing, or at least not in my case.

If I play offline all works as normal after getting a rank so itā€™s something server side.

I think it may be related to loading a (new) character. Went into the negative for the points I had accumulated from my first character.

i dont think its related to new charecter because at first i was -10 and then today i got back on my level 50 and im -80 with by entire bank erased, ā– ā– ā– ā–  this game

My Guardian Rank got is stuck at the top of Rank 10 and wonā€™t move
update: Itā€™s just the progress bar that is glitched I just got to Rank 11

Its actually related to how you are farming them. Going offline to bypass the the hotfixes. Its something to do with how the exp is stored. It sees a discrepency between the 2 patches. The first actual patch should fix it because the games will be the same version again. Easiest way to fix it is load the game offline to spend your points, that version doesnā€™t care where you got the points.

Tldr: go offline, restart the game, spend all your points and restart again in online.

I was killing the last boss and my game crashed I log back in and notice i have 90 guardian ranksā€¦I was rank 140 and now I am rank 230 and negative the 90 tokens how do I fix this?

Mine happened after creating a second character.
Started as FL4K, got up to rank 13.
Created Amara, and had -14.
I assumed it was the game trying to reconcile the fact that the rank is shared between all characters, and that Amara did not accumulate any of those levels by her lonesome.

I am sitting on -63 tokens and I am level 200+ that means I have to farm Grave Warden like ~900 or more times to get back to 0.

Hi everyone!

i could gather some information and as far as i understand, the ā€œproblemā€ here is the latest hotfix. Someone mentioned that the needed XP for the guardian ranks got updated also.

because its a hotfix - it means you download it while in the menu. If you start your game quick enough, the hotfix is not active. this way your guardian rank is calculated on the old XP needed. next time you quit the character to menu, the hotfix is applied and your guardian rank is calculated with the hotfix: you now need much more XP per level, thats why its negative till you own enough XP for the level you have.

The fun part; the hotfix is a temporary thing, thats why restarting the game helps here.
the hotfix temp data is deleted and downloaded next time you start ~
btw - all perks stay active, even if youā€™re on negative ranks.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but my guardian rank is negative so and so. I canā€™t even level the rank or increase anything
