I am guessing Op thinks it should because the Wagon Wheel can penetrate most physical shields, like the Riot Trooper’s according to the wiki.

However as the Annointed Militant’s Sheild is an energy-projected shield I don’t think it is considered a physical shield, because it technically isn’t a physycal shield since it is an energy projection from what I’ve seen.

I don’t think it was penetrating physical shields while I was using it. I do think that occasionally the spread of pellets it spawns would get around/behind those shields.

I think the Militant has a sort of directional invulnerability that has the appearance of a shield. But I can’t say I’ve thoroughly tested it.

I’ve never noticed it doing physical shield penetration either. Just pointing out what the wiki says in it’s notes and my opinion on it.

I think it’s hitting around the shields with riccochets… isn’t that the main thing for that gun? a ton of riccochets? I haven’t use it for a while.

The wagon wheels initial shot definitely goes through physical shields.

I mostly ask this because it would be nice to have a weapon other then Phasegrasp, to help deal with these Monsters. Especially since it would make sense with it’s hidden ability to shoot through physical shields. (Wagon Wheel)

I have tested it and it does shoot through Militant shields.

Reflected bullets from enemies behind it, bullets that reflect off objects reflected into it’s back, Splash damage to the side and behind and even raining down Mortars (Vladoff heavy under-barrel weapon) over the top of the shield.

If you are at level 50 and farming zones, if you can get your hands on a Fire Protuberance (Torgue alien-barrelled shotgun) with the 4 round clip (MUST be the 4 round clip), those work a treat because of the spread pattern. Otherwise the Jericho (Legendary Vladoff heavy weapon) does a good job and is a lot easier to get a hold of than protuberances. There’s other weapons that will do the job but the Jericho is perhaps the easiest to get. It shouldn’t be all that hard to trade for one if you pop a request in your platform’s trading section of the forum.

I understand splash damage and getting around them, I am specifically talking about getting through their shields. This has nothing to do with the topic about the Wagon Wheel.
FYI : I don’t need and never asked for your advice on how else to kill them and I probably have more weapons then you do, since you seem so interested in Splaining to me how to do what I already know and have!
