I never understood why people complained about his size, he may be short but he has a wide hitbox (his speed without the axe is what gets me mad

@skeksis_SYL

Yeah that’s definitely my least favourite part of playing him also (don’t get me wrong I’ve mastered him and I love playing him), but if he had a longer / faster ax or fist he’d be legit OP.

I have no problem with Boldurs attack speed or damage. Just means I wouldn’t play him or just bite the bullet and get used to it. My problem with boldur is he has almost everything going for him as a tank and is relatively unkillable

Boldur, miko and whiskey foxtrot are my go to characters, but bolder is my ABSOLUTE favorite! I would play with him all the time, but I want to master all the characters.

It’s because I relate to boldur, he’s my homie, we’re both smaller than the average character (or person), but can take a beating, and the best part? We both have awesome beards. Let’s not forget our muscularity.

The reason I’m not playing him is because I heard that they are fixing the hitbox on Boldur dash in the next patch. I will just wait until that and I’ll start playing him again. I know that he’s getting some heavy nerfs coming at him but I’m excited about the few buffs he’s getting.

If they nerf boldur, i think I’ll quit honestly. Boldur is a tough character to play as it is. No reason to nerf him except his lv 10 left

I only pick him whenever I want to completely sh*t on the enemy team. Boldur is easily god tier in his late game

Chaos mode flips this, you see entire Boldur teams. Nobody kills entire Boldur teams!

Takes a duo

I would say he’s getting reworked rather than straight up nerfed. Too many people are complaining about he’s ability to block and heal at the same time. I have heard some complaints saying “It’s stupid he can block forever at level 10”. Personally I would never go for the infinite blocking because I think a 60+% increase to damage is very nice. I never understood why I hear so many complaints about it though. If Boldur has Runes on his shield then don’t attack him from the front. It’s that simple. I see so many people attacking Boldur’s shield while he’s low on health and all they are doing is healing him.

I was actually in a Chaos Rumble against a Boldur and when he put up his shield I just stopped attacking him, I got to hear my opponent start to panic because I wasn’t healing him. And I’ve done this many times in normal games too and I can still tell that my opponent is panicking by how they react.

he does have a super slow attack speed.

AOEs damage him during this time, do they not?

Depends, if he’s facing the source he can usually block it. With certain skills that apply CC the damage can be blocked but the CC will always go through. Catalitic smash will still knock him up, Lumberjack dash and Boldur Dash can still stun him and many others but those are just the examples that come to mind.

Don’t forget that his passive gives 20% increase to attack speed. Also, I recommend attack speed gear on him. It does wonders.

I run 2 attack speed currently. I love playing him. I can rip people up in incursion.

All my gear with Boldur gives attack speed. My biggest piece of advise is to use cheap gear because Boldur’s early game is easily the worst so you need the shards to level up faster.

what’s your 3rd item? I have a purple attack speed plus health. A purple skill plus attack speed. I usually use a health regen for my 3rd item. I think I get about 15 total attack speed bonus from items.

I like to think I understand Incursion pretty deeply.

I definitely don’t chase kills.

Am I missing anything?

First thing I always do is grab 300 shards if my team mates let me on my way to the central Lightning turret.

If the enemy is there, I will try to defend that rurret with my team and defend the central area with the Lightning turret until we gain Center control.

If the enemy is not yet in the central area, I’ll rush to the choke point just before the enemy’s first Sentry and try to lock that spot down, containing the enemy at their first sentry.

I find that in many Incursion matches, which ever team can lock this spot down wins, or can at least maintain control of the pressure and momentum of the map.

Once my twam gains a foothold here, I’ll start dividing my time between the front, middle, and back lines, gathering thralls, shards for my gear, and buying accelerators, etc.

Unless my team has a strong, potentially gsme winning push going against enemy sentry.

After the first Sentry is down, try to lock down their healing chamber room, the accelerator leading into their last sentry, and try to get their own Thrall to use against them.

While all this is going on, I’ll try ro grab back Thrall and Elite Bot whenever posdible as well as try to get my team to help me get the double Thralls when they appear every 5 minutes.

I also try to backdoor poke at their sentry sometimes if possible to keep them on their toes.

Am I missing anything?

I use a Blue Eldrid Attack speed that has minus shield capacity, Green Jenerit attack damage and Green Jenerit Skill damage, Both the greens give attack speed after landing a melee hit so it’s active all the time and the Eldrid attack speed gives more attack speed after taking health damage so that’s active most of the time.
