I’m not sure about that if axe toss gets a nerf because I think his playstyle will stay the same, and be a tank with his own niche (hopefully)

@FlamesForAll I don’t hate dwarves especially considering that some people flat out despise them for no reason other than being a dwarf. Dwarves originated in Norse mythology and were absolutely badass. They were artisan craftsmen and masters of the forge. That being said the entirety of Boldurs kit confuses and infuriates me. He gets some of the best aspects of a lot of characters in this game and the only “downside” he gets is an early game weak damage potential? Not substantial enough imo. He should do the least amount of damage In The game considering his ability to soak up damage.
@epicender584 my issue with him IS the fact he is basically unkillable. Levels 2 and 3 are the easiest to obtain in the game. Shouldn’t be impossible to get those levels. A knock back that can stun is a fine cc. And slow would be more reasonable to me if he wasn’t so fast already.
I have typed up a pretty substantial evaluation of boldur and do t really want to post it again to not recieve any feedback or a good explanation on why he gets to do what he does. That and he is getting reworked so it may not be as relevant

You don’t see more because you don’t see Boldur getting Worthy of Song

@chronic4201
Oh I meant that is how I play incursion with basically every character not Boldur specifically, but thank you very much.
And yes I have really noticed while mastering Reyna these past few days that (especially if you’re playing a support), once you have middle control it is DEFINITELY best to stay front and keep yiur team alive while they begin Sentry pushing immediately!
@skeksis_SYL Nothing against dwarves, my friend! They have long been my favourite fantasy race and I even mained a dwarven berserker in my late teen / early 20s tabletop D&D days!

The thing about Boulder, is that he’s not a character just anyone can play well. He requires a very patient and teamplayer person, as the best Boulders function as a MOBA tank, hard to kill, but take the heat off of their teammates. That’s why I’d rather not see a major nerf to his defensive capabilities, but I’m fine with nerfing his offensive helixes.

That seems to be the opposite of the direction they’re taking with him. They’re buffing his damage and reducing tankiness

I wouldn’t say he is changing that drastically. He will still play the same, they should of nerfed just his late game, cuz with how it is nerfed, he will still be tanky in his unique way without being ridiculous/OP, but now he will be to strong early game
I think that’s what he needs: a better early game (specially damage or attack speed) and a not so strong end game (mostly survability).

Oh yeah, the changes are slight, but it’s still interesting to see where he might go

His potential lvl 10 ult axe buff is getting reduced from around +80% to +32%
That’s pretty significant
Not saying it’s a bad call but those are some big numbers

That’s true, I forgot to mention that. But axe bleed is gonna be ridiculous on ult with skill damage gear, and he’s gonna hit more with Boldurdash, where before many used it mainly for the overshield, it’s now more offensive

Yeah it just seems you think his niche will change dramatically, I think it will stay the same, the axe change is unnecessary IMO

Oh no, I was exaggerating a bit. Sorry. I think he’ll be almost the same, just slight harder to ignore and he can’t infinitely tank a whole team and sentry anymore

The overshield should only activate if he he it’s some one

Tbh playing boldur is just too easy. That’s why I never play him. I romp everything when I do
I’ve been playing him over the past few days…it’s been a while, but I’m going to stick with him. He’s so fun!

Eh, I find that debatable. For now, no. It’s too difficult to hit. After the fix, yes. And while Fetch has to hit, she also has two helices that other have as one, and a temporary damage increase while others are permanent, etc. Shayne is not a precedent in this game, fortunately for other characters

A lot of people point to Shayne, who is the only other character who gets an overshield off if a skill, yet she has to land it for it to count. I got into debate readiness mode too quickly and countered your nonexistent point. Sorry
The only issue with grabbing the center turret with all characters is that some like bolder really need the xp. It’s a great strategy for hard to level characters but not necessary with a bunch of them and can deprive needed xp from your teammates
