Why I came back to BL2

This is by far one of the best, most helpful and respectful communities i’ve ever been a part of

Destiny was also but until the whole Eververse chao. It turned into a sea of hate and salt now.

While I don’t like taking a dump on other games the OW community is full of 13 year old kids, trolls and because it’s e-sports it is especially full of tryhards trying to force top level competitive metaplay in their matches in frigging silver and gold ranks -_- I’ve never had so bad a time trying to enjoy the characters I like as I’ve had in that game because the guys there will throw matches if you don’t switch out of your main (which makes no sense at all) /rant

This is not a competitive game and the multiplayer is coop so it’s obviously much different. Also it’s so old that at this point most of the members here are people who enjoy all kinds of things the game can throw at them even doing a lot of self-handicapped runs and exploring guns most people would just write immediately off and stuff like that. Everyone will be helpful and welcoming towards new people (and returners).

I wouldn’t know about “other games”. I heard they exist but I just play Borderlands 2 over and over again.

Just want to be a part of an Positive community than Salty one

Yeah, I play other games too but it seems like no matter the length of the hiatus I keep returning to BL2. I also occasionally dip into BL1 or TPS but those games just don’t have the magic that BL2 offers.

My earlier rant was probably the saltiest thing you will run into on this forum  Sorry.

I second K’s motion.

You didn’t rant. It’s just how those communities respond to Bungie and etc then made it feel salty. It’s all good. That’s how everyone feels about Destiny 2. D1 was fun and meeting new people but D2 fell on it’s face from Day 1. Even the Destiny streamers went to Fortnite than D2.

It was 2 years after the initial beta launched, otherwise called the main release. It’s disgusting to me that they released a shell of a game and only 2 years later was it actually a game. But i’m not salty, I decided it wasn’t very good and played Borderlands 2 again :stuck_out_tongue:

D2 Raids and Loot is just so blah to get unlike BL2 or other Loot based games.

I’m on a break from BL2 at the moment- playing Divinity Original Sin EE since playing D:OS2 with a friend over the past holidays. I will return to Ultimate Krieg!! in a bit though…

Is that unofficial Borderlands 2 DLC? If not, I don’t understand what you mean

Too many immature kids is over at the Overwatch forums and toxicity is like a swamp over there. Glad that BL2 homies isn’t like that.

Heh, I played D:OS EE on holidays with a friend. It’s been on a hiatus after that; we didn’t complete it and didn’t return to it online either (played split-screen in my place on holidays). Didn’t feel like starting a solo save to do it alone either.

As far as i’m aware you can use the same save for single player and multiplayer.

Not to go totally off-topic here but doesn’t that progress the save for both modes? I’m keeping it where it is because we’ll likely return to it… at some point in the future.

I did actually start a solo-save back then but I just quit it really early because I didn’t feel like controlling 2-4 characters after going it duo lone wolf and rushing content because my friend remembers pretty much everything up to the halfway point or so (he’s played it multiple times). I thought I’d read what everyone says to actually know what is going on but goddamn the amount of text and campy voice acting hurts too much on top of the amount of characters thingy.

I’m not certain to be honest. I played it for approximately 5 minutes, hated it and sold it. I just remember reading something about being able to use the same save for multiplayer and single player. It’s quite possible it saves progress for both modes, in fact if you can use the same save for both, doing so would certainly make sense. I don’t want to tell you something i’m not certain of, though.

I wandered off from BL2 for a few months to play Fallout4, but soon came back because I really missed it. I am in my sixties, and have only been gaming for literally five years, and most of that time has been spent with the Borderlands franchise. This is such a unique game with so much to offer you can never get bored. Some days I just take a character out for a stroll in the Highlands and do nothing, I just love that map, you can feel the air, and the accompanying music just blows me away, how many games can make you feel like that?..Proud to be a BL2 player, it is a way of life now. Excellent community too

That’s great! It just goes to show that this franchise can be for any age group (even the ones who technically aren’t allowed to play it if you believe PEGI)

Just can take soon much salt and toxic from certain then ask myself " How can I make the community non -toxic and fun for everyone?" Answer is remove these immature kids who just to get attention for stupid reason. That’s how most games fail. Might stay here and get to know everyone. Hope the Monster Hunter community is friendly like BL2.
