Ya know why I like Mordecai? Sniper Rifles. He is the master sniper in this game, and I absolutely LOVE sniping things in BL, feels so rewarding, and a good purple Hyperion barrel5 PPZ sniper can handle literally 90% of the enemies in this game no problem. I can’t really say that about any other single gun.

Ransack for sure, and scavenge extra items. Love seeing those random purps/oranges fly out randomly from enemies and skag piles!
Skag piles? Ransack works on loot piles?
Either that or scavenge seems to do it, unless my Mordecai is just luckier than my other toons in the skag pile department.
The skill ransack itself doesn’t effect ransack piles but the scavenger mod with its plus 4 find extra items does.

I just realized how poorly worded my reply was. I should lay off the whiskey when talking to people here. But sure lol, Skaggully is a great place for both ransack farming and trash pile farming with good old mordy.

Yeah i knew it was one of them. There was a big discussion about SEI vs Ransack on the old forums, just couldn’t remember which did what. And it goes to plus 4 hey? Does ‘find rare items’ only go to 2?
Yeah. Plus it can go further with other players with it! It’s Team Scavenge extra items +4 and get to +16 in 4 player mode! I’d love to spend a few hours with at least a +12 going.
Wish I had it for PC, I’d be down like a clown. Damn PS3. With all the tech advances nowadays, you’d think PC and consoles could play together. If the remaster made that happen…squeal
The technology exists, ps3s and PCs could play Portal 2 together. Sadly that technology was never used again.
In competitive, there would be problems, but co-op games like Borderlands would be fine.
I’ve been using the scavenger class mod for the past few days and going to Jacobs Cove. I’ve discovered that there’s more to Zombie Island than I’ve ever known. With Mordecai as everyone already knew it’s one of the best spots for using Ransack. Then you have all of the skag piles to loot on top of it. Killing zombies is always fun. Then I discovered that Loot Goon Goliaths chest spawn level 69 gear. Though this isn’t news to others it was news to me. So I’ve discovered a new way to play with my mordecai outside of farming crawmerax or doing random stuff. Mordecai is the f’n bomb.

To be honest, Zombie Island has always scared me. In fact, there’s always been moments where BL1 has scared me; which is interesting because I never had those moments in BL2. I’m one of those guys that gets scared so easily by games and movies. Doesn’t help that the midgets and psychos are actually freaky compared to their later counterparts, have a habit of popping up behind you, and doing a ton of damage.
That said, I often roll with a build that maximizes Bloodwing usage as I find it to be the best way of coping with the experience on the island. Maybe when I start rolling with a melee build, I’ll have an easier time coping with the zombies; at least I’ll actually intentionally run into their faces rather than away from them.
I need to find this chest you speak of, it seems! Craw, while rewarding, definitely gets dull grind after grind.
It’s an enemy with a chest on its back. They spawn in random places in Jacobs cove
There is always a loot goon on the beach at the left side of the hospital, they sometimes spawn I’m the town with TK Baha and a couple other places. But Generally Hospital is by far the most reliable/quickest to farm.
- One shot one kill playstyle
- He can corrode the ■■■■ out of enemies with the Assassin COM
- Challenging (compared to the other BL1 characters) but totally rewarding
- Crazy crowd control and healing with Bloodwing
- “Add ■■■■ tons of damage to some but not all of your shots”-type skills
- Doesn’t have to worry about the large shields that guardians and Lance probes have
- Symbolized in the intro, official site and elemental COM with the color green (my favorite color)
Now if only there was a legendary/pearlescent corrosive-only sniper that procced like Volcano, Cobra and Orion do.

I don’t know why I like Mord over any of the others but I just seem to gel with him better.
Plus he has a pet and I’ve always had a pet of some kind.
Surprisingly deadly with both the Serpens and Draco (and I still don’t have the COM I want).
This is another win in my book.
