Will 2 maps per mode be enough?

Read that each pvp game mode will have 2 maps. Wondering if you guys think this will be enough? In my mind 2 maps per mode will last maybe a month before some people get very bored of the same maps over and over again, especially if they are just playing their favorite game mode

Granted, I’m coming from games like Call of Duty and Destiny, but still.

Hoping for the additional maps to come often and in numbers; even a few weeks after launch.

Again, I’m wondering what the community’s feeling is on this topic.

Maps will be free to the community. People play the same MOBA map for thousands of games. Same allows people to get better specifically.

The counter argument would be League, where last I heard, most gameplay was on one map.

More importantly, assuming the game is popular enough, they hope to continue to add new maps and game modes.

But with all multi game maps, such as cod and cs, a number of maps are played like 5% of the time where a select few tend to be played like %80 with a few inbetween. make 2-3 awsome maps and there will be no worries at keeping players happy :slight_smile:

Talking with Jythri he said they limited the number of game modes and maps because they wanted to release a handful of more polished modes and maps than a lot of lackluster modes and maps. More modes and maps will be coming in the future. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Polished and balanced is the only way they should be relesed :slight_smile: good to see gbx has there priorities right. personally could play hundreds of hours on the beta maps.

While I do agree that I would take polish over the amount of maps. I certainly would love to play on more than just 2 per game mode. Maybe double that or at least a third that could add in some sort of vote system that would keep players from playing the same map back to back. THAT would keep things much more fresh in my opinion…

There will be 1 more map per mode very shortly after launch. Roughly around a month. I think there has even been talk of another pvp mode.
