So @Ronnie_Rayburn got me thinking after a recent post of his, speculating what a non phaselocking Maya would look like… What would be the worst possible build for Maya… apologies if this has been done previously, I’ve only been on the forums for six months or so…

Here’s my first entry, apologies again as I haven’t learned how to post these links correctly, any advice in that area would be helpful, just cut & pasted from the calculator page on my crappy laptop, but it doesn’t register as a link when I view it.

Throw on a mod that doesn’t correspond to anything in there, the Pot of Gold shield, a non matching relic to your weapons, no Moxxi weapons, edit the midnight star grenade, and we are set

You just need to copy and paste the entire URL from the location bar in your web browser (desktop). If you’re posting from phone or tablet, that may be an issue. If you’re using an app, I believe it is incorrectly casting everything to upper-case. This wouldn’t matter for the domain name (bl2skills.com), but it WOULD matter for the siren.html part.

If you wanted to make it worse, and were only interested in solo play, take a point from one of the final skills and stick it in Res!

Thanks @VaultHunter101, that’s what I was going with and I’ll know the manually correct to lowercase, as my cut and paste isn’t cooperating with that…

Yeah, for solo play definitely take a point out of Sweet Release or maybe Fleet and put it in Res… I was looking for the overall uselessness for both solo and co-op and should have specified of course that you have to use all skill points available at L72 and up. I split points between Fleet and Ward so that you don’t get much out of either… I figured two in SR wouldn’t do much because you’re not killing a great deal with that setup and it’s only two orbs… Immolate is mildly useful but I thought less so than anything else in that tree that I left empty (or in other trees), but maybe someone can find an even worse setup!

If you’re going for worst…dump all the points you can into phaselocking skills and then never phaselock.

That’s terrific, I like the melee relic, cradle and Chulain choices to go with it too… I’m disappointed I didn’t think of the Vault Hunter or Mysterious Amulet relics after seeing KingGed’s gear choices… Crit, Boompuppy are great choices, Bane too though it can hit reasonably hard… I went with the partial shield skills over the regen skills because I thought regenning health was more useful than having slightly stronger shields, but not sure on that. KingGed makes a strong point though about taking PL skills then never PL’ing something whereas I was thinking about playing normally and just having the worst setup to play normally.

It’s the Bane paired with a Fabled Tortoise! Slap that on, and do a Speedrun! Just make sure to keep your shield up!

Let me explain.

See, I’m using the inifinity, because it has infinity DPS, but that isn’t enough. So I specced into every damage skill I could. I avoided reaper though, because it’s in cataclasm and that tree doesn’t scale well, especially in OP8. I also took every skill I could to maximize phaselock duration and frequency, because if I CC the mobs enough they’ll never be able to damage me, so I won’t have to spec into health skills and focus more on them DEEPS! If they do hurt me though, I have recompense and backdraft to send the hurt right back at them, at fleet for tactical retreats. Lastly, I have restoration and res for Coop nursing.

For my gear I have…

  1. TEH INFINITY!!!
  2. SHAMFLEET
  3. DPUH
  4. the grog (no one can survive on OP8 Without one of these)

Shields: the bee + the sham for DPS brilliance
grenades: the fastball- highest damage grenade in the game
relic- sheriff’s bagde
COM- Leg. Cat

This build has such insane DPS, you’ll kill Vorac in seconds. I’m only level 32 so far, but I can see this build being really OP!
