i am currently unable to jjoin my friends on xbox one, and they are unable to join me. we all have open nat types and live within a half hour of each other. they are IRL friends. this is incredibly frustrating
that is depressing. the few hours I had a chance to play for the first time before work the game refused to find any players for me at all. I never did try with any friends but there are some serious issues here for a launch… and campaign is hard as hell to solo, atleast with Rath. Anyhow I was really hoping I could play multiplayer when I got off work in a couple hours, that’s the main reason I got the game.
you will probably not have any issues playing competitive as a solo player. i never had issues playing with friends in the beta or the test. idk what the issue is with the full game… kinda disappointing
Yep, same situation here. Can’t connect with anyone, Verses and Story, nothing will connect. Can only solo. Super disappointing.
Same here on PC. Can’t find an opposition team
Anyone with any idea of how to work around this or if its a known issue and going to get fixed or is it a big middle finger and to hell with playing with friends?
Also experiencing this issue can’t get public matches n can’t join friends not type is open on all ends
i attempted to contact xbox support to request a refund. because i am not getting actual xbox errors, and instead the errors are within the game. they said that they were making a note of the issue and a record, and if gbx did not correct the problem over a time that they would revisit the idea of a refund. i honestly just want one regardless. game isnt what it was in the beta or test. it has just got worse. i loved the test, but am not enjoying myself now
I had this problem on day one and ran all sorts of connection diagnostics and reforwarded all my ports…
A hard, complete reset of my Xbox One seemed to do the trick after nothing else did. Press and hold the power button until the power goes off, etc.

finally I can connect to matches, haven’t been able to since launch. after the game apparently went down and wouldn’t even initiate my login claiming my xbox wasnt connected ( it was signed in and showing me all the online ads) to even play single player. I reset router (which was working fine for everything else, just did it to add a variable because I’m impatient now) and it let me log in fine and then matching started working somewhat decent. a few minutes and it was finding people consistently… it is possible they had a small maintenance that fixed some issues finally. or I just had a lucky night.
