You still on?
I’m at lvl 30 too on pre sequel. GT: Mr Eddie VH
I have been in contact with Consumer Direct and Trading Standards in the UK as I have been speaking to 2K since June/July and it shouldn’t be taking this long to sort out. Does anyone mind if I share this post with Trading Standards as this is just more evidence that there is an issue and that is doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere.
I am trying to help 2K with this issue but they are asking me more difficult questions now to try and put me off, i.e they asked me to list all the gear and weapons I have for every character I play with (which is all of them in both ps and b2). You all will know how difficult that would be as the amount of gear most people have is too much to list for one character let alone them all!
If anyone wants to personally get in touch message me on xbox GT Stonedtrippy, all your experiences with 2K will help about this issue.

If you can’t connect with friends, double check that you are on their friends list as well. I have found that if only one of the two people has friended the other that it won’t connect. When the friend ship is mutual then there does not seem to be a problem.
If someone want to play BL2, GT: newLine Dast / lvl 41

Usually online from 4pm PST till evening…Weekends is random, but get online as much as possible.
I have a few friends who want me to play, but everytime I join, it times out and tells me to check my connection. I currently have my setting to NAT 1 and my internet is running solid. Is it something on MY end that’s causing this or is it something they have to do (changing modes / OP levels)?
Someone tried to play TPS with me last night. We weren’t on each other’s friendlists yet. So we added each other but we still couldn’t get a game going. Connecting to each other wasn’t working. What we didn’t try was restarting our xboxes after becoming friends and then starting the game up fresh for sure. To start a game up fresh on the xbox one I like to open up some other game like Destiny or whatever and then go back to start the one I wanted to start.
Hopefully they’ll fix this. It shouldn’t be so hard to start playing online with someone. It’s why I started playing Destiny (because the multiplayer now works well there and it’s vaguely similar to Borderlands in terms of loot, action skills, etc…). I could probably go back and play TPS on the 360 reliably online, but I’ve already moved guys over and made progress since then. Also I prefer to use the xbox one now.
Probably our only hope now is to make sure we host our TPS games in public mode on the xbox one AND to twitch stream it while doing so. 1, if it’s in public mode random people can connect right? I don’t know if it ever worked on the xbox one. 2. if we twitch stream the game then it creates exposure online and amongst our friendlist.
I used to use that method before discovering the “Quit” option. While you are playing TPS, hit your xbox home button once. It will back out of the game to your home screen, with the small window highlighted showing your TPS game play. Hit your start button and you’ll see a menu with different options. Click “quit” and it will end the game. Then, just hit “A” since the window showing TPS is still highlighted. that will start the game back up. Now, there is a cooldown that takes place. Once you quit the game. You can’t immediately start it back up. it takes a few seconds to completely shut it down, then you can load it back up. I hope this helps.
YEA!
What other xbox one tips do you know?
For instance I don’t like having to double tap the xbox button to access those useful functions there. I would prefer something that doesn’t leave as much room for error. For reference I hate using special moves from games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I can’t stand chaining button presses together leaving so much room for error. Sounds lame I know, but I think it was a stupid movement in video games.
not much, sad to admit. LOL I just picked up my Xbone last weekend. Finding out this shortcut was really helpful. it was one of my first questions I needed answered when I started using the Xbone. I grind a lot in this game. So, I need to be able to dashboard. This was a huge help in saving time.
If I learn anything I think you might benefit from I’ll shoot you a message. Hit me up to coop if you are online when I am. I am on the west coast Pacific Time. GT: Kurtdawg13
You’ve been added. I have the kinect-less xbox one. But there are a bunch of voice commands I would have liked to have used. I’m going to look at what the back menu and the hamburger menu buttons do when I’m at the main screen with the game window selected.
As cool as the xbox one is, I would have made different decisions on the UI. These are somewhat minor complaints. I’m mostly very happy with it.
Hitting the xbox one button should do what it does now, but it should surround the main screen there with common snap applications and some of the double tap features should be right there. It’s kind of like that now but not enough.
Opening up any screen, friend profiles, game pages, etc… should take a quarter of the time it does now. I hear they are working on the OS speed.
Pinning things - When you pin more than a screensworth it doesn’t show all the pinned items. I think that could have been different. Shown all or at least more.
Other complaints, creating a party can be odd, the app snapping can be odd, switching between snapped apps can be odd.
And finally, changing the option to allow random people to join me in destiny is a hidden option outside the game? Is that an xbox problem or a strange Destiny design choice? I don’t know.
The next update coming early November is Windows 10 OS coming to the Xbone. It’s supposed to speed things up considerably from what I’ve read.
Edit: Peruse this at your leisure…
