Twisted barrel ftw! Hey guys since you seem to be a bit more eridian savvy than me a quick question- I just recently found my first orange eridian. Mega cannon . Now I’ve tried to use eridians but they just suck…I have max prof. And a perfect loyalty mod. Still suck. Anyway…I was trying out this thing…dmg is 3669 and it fires only one shot. I was (badly) assaulting a bruiser with it…one shot hits for like 5000 points. Another shot hit for 12k! What is going on here? Does the amount of charge affect it? Or some weird tech pool type thing? Anyone?

Cannons have splash damage, could that have been it? Depending on where you hit him, the splash could have either soaked into the floor, his crit spot, or other parts of his body.

That’s my guess.

Yeah but splash doesn’t crit does it? Except for craw of coarse. Just don’t know. It is interesting how the 3 dimensions of the game world interacts. I remember explaining to someone what made the pimpernel so powerful with zero and bore. Because you’re actually hitting multiple crit boxes from the inside out of a 3d construct. (The enemy).

Ah yeah.

Well, that aside, I forget if there are different damage multipliers for different parts of humanoid enemies. Lancemen do, same with Alpha Skags, but that could just be “armor” tagged onto different body parts insead of a “0.9 damage if shooting lower stomach or legs” thing.

A good example of what the twisted barrel does to tech tier. Even being maliwan with mag 3 would only net u ×2 or x3

Those gunman mods are epic. The 1st perfect loyalty mod I found. Anything the serpens won’t kill the orion sure will. And the Draco just to hear em scream…
