So you’re basically saying that you want to have everything be awesome and that the helix choices should exist to make you extra special awesome at certain things.
The point of the helix choices is to customize your characters. The point of the various nerfs/buffs is to bring the character in line with others (and, yes, Alani has needed a lot of tweaking since release). If you’re selecting helices to preserve performance, you’re “playing how you want”; you’re just pissed that “playing how you want” is no longer making you OP as hell instead of adapting to the changes and realizing that a lot of the tweaks have actually made helix choices less one-sided (massive reduction in skill damage made the 20% attack speed an arguably better option than the .5 CD redux, which was the obviously better choice when Alani’s performance was massively overloaded on her skills; removing the Osmosis stack generation and moving the range increase and Wellspring minimum healing to level 3 made the movement speed and Wellspring minimum healing helices actually viable choices now because the value of one of the options was no longer so massively one-sided).

Actually, since they nerfed the damage on her skills, the attack speed helix is actually a lot better, especially if you want to play healer or damage dealer. The CD reduction helix is for people who want to play controller. I have gotten a lot better performance out of her, both healing and damage, by using the attack speed helix rather than the old default of the .5 sec CD redux helix (since I tend to hold on to skills rather than using them immediately like I used to because they’re not my damage/healing bread and butter any more; they’re situational).
I honestly have to wonder how much people would notice the difference in performance if it weren’t shouted at the rooftops via patch notes. People, just like you two, just love screaming about everything being completely ruined when, if you actually look at the end result changes instead of the piecemeal changes, things are totally fine.
Alani’s healing has barely been affected because she already generates Osmosis stacks incredibly fast. Anyone who thinks that she’s suddenly become a terrible healer is deluding themselves (especially since she’s still the best burst healer by a massive margin and has plenty of maintenance healing to go along with her other abilities) by focusing on one tiny facet of her character that they mistakenly believe is some monumentally huge defining element of her playstyle.
