““However, the game has many glaring issues I will not stop complaining about.””
Maybe on PC , on XBOX ONE the game is doing fine without any problems in my opinion - fast matchmaking, good performance, no crashes.

Great post. Thank you.
This is definitely a newer and, IMHO, destructive trend. I am reminded of what happened to Destiny; devs listened to the very loud youtuber-twitch-self-declared-game-experts and totally ruined many wonderful aspects of their game. I actually get very nervous these days when I hear requests for nerfs and buffs and I hope that the devs are “smarter than that” and know how to ignore to ocean and tides of self-involved commentary.

It’s America in general. With each generation kids are more spoiled, rude, and uneducated it seems.

LOL every single generation has said that about its younger kin since well before the beginning of America.
My verdict after a long time studying literature (aka explorations of how people can be spoiled, rude, and uneducated in a variety of historical settings) - each generation has roughly the same amount of idiocy. It’s just that these days we all have keyboards so we can share it with the world a bit easier.

I don’t just mean in genres. I mean competing for attention. Overwatch provides quick and dirty matches for those with a short attention span, Witcher 3’s DLC is where half of my friends list is right now xD, and a few other games who’s marketing is better than BB’s is.
Again, they aren’t competing in gameplay, as BB is very unique in that respect. BB is competing for attention, which is difficult given the marketing budget.
I’m hardly worried though, I play on ps4, and never have a shortage of players.

I haven’t had any issues finding people on the One. The OW players on my friends list have dropped significantly (most returning to older games) and the few that do still play are close to quitting.
All games have issues. Every single one. How people handle and respond to them is entirely up to them. It’s one thing to bring up valid concerns in a respectful manner, it is something else entirely to proclaim “the sky is falling” and spread that venom through the forums.
That’s my two cents

I agree with this if you read what I said here.
You needed to clarify what you mean when you say competition. Thankfully you did with your most recent post.
I haven’t seen much of this at all. Even in the Battleborn discord, there are more people playing Overwatch than Battleborn Check to see if there are more people playing battleborn than Overwatch in the discord when you read this. Send the results once you tally it up. . I just tallied up the amount of players playing Battleborn to the amount of players playing Overwatch in the Discord and the results are that there are 35 people playing Overwatch and 18 playing Battleborn. That’s Twice as many people playing Overwatch in a discord for Battleborn!

I got 3 playing OW, 8 playing BB, and 10 playing Witcher 3. 8 of those 10, I met in BB.

With all due respect, I’m not going to look it up. I realize that a lot of people play the game and I was just pointing out how it impacted my friends list. That’s all.
At this moment I have people playing Halo 5, Dark Souls, Battleborn, Fallout 4, and TESO.
Your friends lists are quite a small sample size to say that a good amount of people are dropping Overwatch. Friends Lists are also quite biased due to the fact that you are directly customizing how many people and who are in it. What are the benefits of judging how Battleborn and Overwatch are doing based on your friends lists?

Where are you going with this though? What your reports suggest is that a lot of the people who play Battleborn also play Overwatch… does this get us anywhere new? Presumably if people took the trouble to not only buy Battleborn, but come on the forums, find the discord channel, and sign up to it, they feel pretty invested in the game. I’m not sure observing that they also play other games (even if those two games have been set up as rivals by some gamers) is enough info to say anything useful about either of them.
I love Battleborn, and I love Team Fortress (haven’t tried Overwatch yet, but I probably will when I’ve cleared my overdraft!). The fact that right now I’m spending most of my playtime on Battleborn doesn’t mean TF2 is a bad game or that I don’t want to play it. It doesn’t say anything much at all. Most of the time discord says that I’m ‘playing’ the program I use to write my thesis… that certainly doesn’t shed any light on how much I enjoy the time I do put into Battleborn!

What i’m getting at is that the majority of people who have both games on discord will choose to play Overwatch rather than Battleborn. If you were in the Battleborn Discord on May 3rd, you would remember that everyone was playing Battleborn. Now, there is a ~35-40% of people playing Battleborn on discord max. Initially, I was replying to anecdotal evidence that said based on their friends list, they felt that they knew a good amount of people were leaving Overwatch here: [quote=“boop, post:49, topic:1492677”]

It’s the denial that the majority of people who have both games play Battleborn much more than Overwatch that annoys me when clearly there is plenty of evidence that it isn’t the case. Over the past few days, The PC game had a net loss of 5000 total owners (meaning that they deleted the game out of their active games). Overwatch just banned 1572 cheaters from China while Battleborn’s PC 24 hour peak is 1454 players.

Yet the majority of people on the discord play Overwatch instead of Battleborn. They might be invested in the devlopment process, but they certainly aren’t as invested in playing the game as much as playing Overwatch.

Yes, I see that’s what you’re saying. It has a lower player base on PC than Overwatch, and people who own Battleborn are often also playing Overwatch. And I believe you. But again, I’m interested to know where this gets us? Are you making a point about the game itself - its success, its future, that it’s fundamentally flawed? Or just listing numbers? I appreciate where comparisons to Overwatch are coming from and I’m not saying it doesn’t matter how many people are playing. But - from my own perspective - it isn’t necessary to constantly set two or more games in ardent competition with each other, checking player stats as to who’s won. That devalues both games.

I agree to a degree but some people took each word you wrote a little to literal.

Personally, this statistic alone is enough to prevent me from ever playing Overwatch.
As I’ve said before, no matter how people feel about either game, they are obviously not in competition with each other for marketshare. To pit them against one another is just another way to create false angst on the forums.
As per the topic title, attitude matters and I don’t play BB or come to the forums to experience angst, real or false.

The reason why I posted this information in this thread is because I disagree with the idea that we need to enforce an attitude to express ourselves in a game that is not doing well in sales. It’s easy to treat critique that discusses the entire game negatively with a grain of salt because if you go to any other multiplayer forums, you’ll find similar negative threads (http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/22813879/). The issue with this is that we can directly see that the majority of players have stopped playing Battleborn while other games can maintain their numbers for more than a month at least. ALL critique should be welcomed in order to quickly fix any issues that are making people leave. Threads like these (about attitude in the forums/game/etc.) are worthwhile in games that are thriving, but in games that have a sinking playerbase, the developers should listen to everyone’s issues.
I didn’t bring up Overwatch. Boop used the game in his anecdotal evidence here:[quote=“boop, post:49, topic:1492677”]

I’ve compared Battleborn’s numbers to DOOM, Rainbow Six Siege, Arma 3 and Fallout 4 earlier in the thread.
