Yeah this Is like…insanity tier farming. I mean like…I’ve killed him 12 times or so just to see if he’d drop any Spy and nothing. …so the chance he’s gonna A) drop a spy b) drop any good parts on it…I mean…
So, just normaly run to him, kill him, but instead of going to dashboard from there you need to go in to fight for your life mode, so kill yourself with something, after that you need that screen when you are about to respawn

I’m starting to doubt this fool drops spys at all. 30+ kills and nothing. So if you do that and don’t save wee will still be alive huh…yeah I guess so. Oh btw tech if you have any end game ones you’ve found I’d love to see them. If you posted before Idr…

Yeah if you do it right he will be there after you come back there, so no dashboard and this method its preete much as fast as it would be on read only. Most importnant is last checkpoint, if you save game after killing him on save stacion and do this trick he won’t be there. You can farm this way COD rewards but there you have to be really careful, there is save stacion close to where turn in quest.
I don’t think I have any, I was farming for the shield some time ago, but I quickly got bored and quit.

Yeah , understandable. Not all minibosses drop uniques at the same rate I think. Seriously took almost 40 times to get that 1. And then good luck ever getting anything worth keeping. That is a neat trick tho, thanks for that. It does save time. Oh yeah I did learn something interesting on wiki, if yall didn’t know- that gun Ned drops when you fight him in the saw mill? Apparently that gun has the same skin as the spy and can spawn with that scope as well. Another crazy farm lol. Im not there with It yet. I still don’t have a corrosive GB smg.

Well, that’s preete bad. I was courious myself what I would get so I did 40 kills like you. Here are results:
12th
23th
27th
34th (yes two exact same on a row)
5 Spys drops in 40 runs
I counted time on one run with loading screens and it takes me 1 minute 25 sec. Also because I have so many save files I’m losing 10 sec every run on Getting save list screen.
Good luck with that, if I ever go buck to this or Anarchy I would do that with someone when one person siting there and I join and turn in quest, no worth to drive there for thumpers lol

It is diffrent from xbox360 in tech spec that’s for sure, but is that cause lower drop rate? I dont think so but we never know for sure. Maybe they changed something when they where doing this game for three platforms.

I buy that 100%. No offense to your farming prowess, tech…you are obviously a beast but there’s just no way sometimes. I’ll run the armory 10 times in a row and literally not see 1 single complaint free piece of gear…I don’t mean like something I’m looking for I mean literally anything, gun…shield, even coms. Unless…one of my theories is correct and there’s something in game that affects the algorithm. Like you guys remember when I had that freaky Power plant run and found all those level 54-56 guns? Like…they were all perfect or damn near. I have a perfect Tmp8 action5 barrel4, sight5 REAPER at 55… something did that, and I can’t figure out what. Point is…something made something different. A master AL or something to that effect.

Yeah, that was pretty weird, especially knowing you are playing on PS3. But maybe it’s just RNG playing tricks on us I don’t know.

Maybe… I did’t play on any other system so I can’t really compare but tbh there is no way to prove that. How do you even do that, data for comparison would have to be huge and even then there is rng on top of that.
I have that all the time but you know what I do, next 10 runs and after that another 10, and eventually I find somethig.

That’s the point, only developers who made porting of this game to different platforms can answer that. I wouldn’t be surprised if MS payed gearbox to heighten AL of the loot. But it’s only a speculation.

Yeah that was no trick, a glitch perhaps. It wasn’t just the 1 run either, I quit and saved many times. I cannot figure out if there’s a way to reproduce the event. Not that I would need to, as soon as any toon I have turns 54 they are instantly OPed if I want them to be lol

If we were talking about new Borderlands or new games in general, I might have believed it, but buck then in 2009 No, if there is actually some diffrents in drop rate, that I believe it was unintentional.
I hope not, can you imagine that you figure out that and can reproduce that and every day every thing you found is perfect pearls, x3 Penetrators elemetal Bitches etc. If I could reproduce that this game would probablly be dead for me in no time.

That’s true. It’s pretty cool tho cause these guns are so good they work end game, that’s what I look for and why I spend so much time farming low level guns. It’s not to have OP level 25 toons, it’s to give those almost-perfect guns to end game characters for a “hard mode”. I still want guns that I’m used to, the way they handle etc, just way less base dmg. These 54-56 are still too strong actually

Yeah I remeber when I was running at end game with lv34 Maliwan Ax300 barrel 5 Justice corosive with no problem at all. For me mostly satisfacted is finding those uber rare items than actually using it. And here I’m a decade later propablly more than 10k hours at this point in game, 1100+ pearls and still hunting for that x3 elemental Pene…
