How would YOU build around launchers?

Greetings, Handsome Friends! I would like to extend an invitation to join me in a build exercise. The topic is as the title of this thread suggests: I would love to see how YOU would go about building Jack around launchers.

Continuing in a similar vein, what kind of ideas do you have for allegiance builds with Jack (excluding Hyperion because obvious thing is obvious )? I was thinking of something like this for a tediore build

BTW, random question, but does the Boxxy gun only come with the tediore, dahl, and hyperion grips? I know RNG can be a real b**h sometimes, but I’ve been farming Holodome for over an hour and haven’t seen 1 maliwan or scav grip…

Yes only those 3 grips.

And nice pick with Tediore, I’ll see if I can’t whip something up that isn’t Tediore or Hyperion. And who knows, I might even do a video I’m so bored.

Thanks, although its weird they limited it to those 3. Scav grip would’ve been great.

Hope it goes well for you though. I thought there was at least 1 tediore COM, and I didn’t realize how many of Jack’s COMs were Hyperion. I knew quite a few were, but not 8 out of 13.

That will definitely make the no Hyperion stipulation much harder.

Excellent work as always!

Although I will admit, it always fries my brain a bit when I see people using the VIP (or the protagonist) for anything but bolster. I just looks so weird to me, but then again, your splitters do so much damage you don’t need to get anymore from the COM.

If you don’t mind, there was someone a while back ho posted a maliwan build here. Would you mind if I linked your video in their thread? It might help them out a bit.

I only used the VIP com b/c it was his only Maliwan com. But it was a great way to substitute the gear/skill points I’d normally use on survivability and in turn focus on more DPS related stuff. Same reason I used the Oxidizer, its the only Maliwan Oz kit.

TBH, I never thought of it like that. To me it was always just the pet COM. I never really thought of using a COM to supplement survival skills.

Its tough to think of one for scav. They have huge mags to abuse glitches with, but they have poor fire rate (don’t know how that effects the loop glitch), they don’t synergize well with overload, and I don’t know how well they work with multishot. I just tried to boost fire rate and damage while leaving the opportunity for digi-Jack roid shield abuse open.

Anarchist and Pooshka are main guns

Plan is to fire 2/4 guns to empty at spawn-in to fuel Taxation of Trade Routes, and frequently swap between the Anarchist and Pooshka to keep up stacks of Incentives. I’m also going to jump constantly and throw a Tesla every time I’m at 4 stacks of Cache

I’m out of ammunition, just thinking about the bullet hosing.

If you were willing to reload spam until you got the yellow glitch, you could save points on some of those fire rate skills and put more towards damage. 5/5 AA wouldn’t be able to sustain the Pooshka, I know that from experience .

I’d be using 2 gun types to take a little pain away while I lean on weighted ammunition drops

And the Sham, of course.

[game plan is: forget reloading. I’ll throw grenades to reload, which is sustainable with cache and a bomber COM. If I somehow get low on grenades, they’ll do more damage and I’ll have to reload slightly less often.

No shield, so I’ll rely on damage resist stacking. I have health regen while Jacks are up, or while they’re cooling.

Maintaining kill skills is not a problem with all of this explosion.]

For shields, couldn’t you use the deadly bloom? I believe it’s torgue.
