Your Top 5 "Fixes" for Battleborn! - with POLL!

Absolutely. And since this isn’t a balance issue, there shouldn’t be someone campaigning against it. In Void’s Edge, the final area with the Conservator, around the flat area where he lives, there are some power cords on the ground. That you must jump over. And there are many others in many other areas. Sometimes stairs can get wonky too.

Of course, we’re always paying attention. You guys have made it clear to us that these are things that the community would like to see addressed and many of them are being discussed.

Some of these potential solutions are tricky, but we’re working hard to make sure we can give you guys the best experience possible. Time will tell where we land with specifics, but in the meantime, please keep the feedback coming!

please, joe, if you can, give me and the at least several hundred people that are trying to make a competitive scene happen on console some sort of word as to if you are seriously considering implementing a game mode for incursion where legendary gear is not permitted to be equipped. i know a draft and bans would be much harder to implement, but just removing legendary gear would satisfy the entire competitive community for quite some time

  1. Make Lootpocalypse Lootpack Prices the default price. I seriously can’t put into words how perfect the cost of Lootpacks were during the Lootpocalypse. You should be able to open 2 faction loot packs and get enough returns to at least open another one, instead of only being able to open a couple after several hours of PvP. It also tricks your brain into thinking the drop rates are much higher than what they are when you have a continual drip of lootpacks coming in.

  2. Legendary Collections. Legendaries should be max roll or the cost should be relative to the quality of the roll. ie character legendaries currently drop at 50% max roll so they should actually cost significantly less to activate. The marketplace should have a section that unlocks Legendary gear after you obtain them once and then can re-buy them again if you are low on space or have a loadout in the future you didn’t think of at the time, so you can free space and sell Legendaries you don’t need without the worry about having to farm for it again later on. Re-buying Legendaries should cost 1500+ Credits.

  3. Drop in / drop out matchmaking for both PvE and PvP. I totally understand that there are technical limitations to implementing this, but if there ever is a chance that it could be implemented, this would be a significant improvement to the game as a whole.

  4. More ways to earn Legendaries that don’t drop from bosses. While I don’t use many of them, I find a lot of enjoyment in collecting Legendaries, however many of them don’t have a direct way I can farm for them and it would require many many hours of farming and getting lucky to eventually collect them all. Suggestion: Item of the Day rotation for Lootpack Legendaries in the Marketplace.

  5. Make character stats more visible. Players actually really care about being able to see how effective a piece of gear or a certain augmentation is, but it can be hard to tell since a lot of this information is hidden away (Skill and Augmentation effects) or inaccessible until you start a match (ie Resource Pools).

I’m from Australia and please God God God no don’t listen to this man. We will NEVER find a game. Region locks are up there on the worst-ideas-of-all-time list. Think of how long it already takes to find a game… AND that the games end up being in US or EU? Can you imagine how long queue times would get if now we had no access to US or EU players?

I don’t typically experience long queue times, sure it happens on occasion and mainly on Meltdown, but isn’t a longer queue time better than playing 9/10 matches with red bar? There are a lot of Japanese playing this game, I’m infrequently matched with them and get green bar when I do but it’s not often enough, I’ve been putting up with constant red bar since beta and I’m pretty tired of it.

Anyway it’s not a bad thing, many games with region locking allow you to enable or disable it, or search first for a match in your region then widen the search criteria is no matches are found. Match making in Battleborn is too inconsistent, I sometimes get matched with US, EU, and Japanese players in the same lobby, sometimes I’ll match against full Japanese teams then full US teams the very next match. I’ve even had times when I had friends searching separate from me, we were both matched with full teams but not against each other, we both sat in a lobby with “searching for opponents” displayed, two full teams ready to play but not able to match against each other. So, region locking would be the perfect way to counter these matchmaking inconsistencies.

This would be OK, but I have never once seen a game that provides such options. Planetside 2 had(/has?) region locks. Guess what everyone in the lower populated AUS and EU regions did? Download the US client because there was no-one in the AUS or EU versions, meaning permanent lag rather than 50-50 or so.

Your saying ‘region-lock’ sounds very much like a lock-out. What you seem to be advocating, however, is a user-option to prioritise matchmaking properties, which is fine. But I doubt it will be implemented. Too much work.

As an aside, meltdown queue times are already 15+mins for me to get into a red bar. I would never enable a region-search option just to see that skyrocket/find no games at all.

Sigh aint that the sad truth? Buff a balanced character, nerf another, red bar for Australia.

When I’m in a premade Meltdown queues tend to be tempremental, it could be ~5-10 minutes or <1, but queuing solo I know I’m likely going to be waiting a while so I dig in lol.

You probably answered thus but if you didn’t, are you on PS4? I play with a large group of Aussies and the last few times playing we’ve had full private games. Pro tip: Never go full Deande team, her decoys overload the server lol our game crashed doing that once haha.

Anyway, we tend to party up and queue in a 5-man, better chance at those fabled precious green bars!

Yes I’m on PS4. Played against your premade with all solo-queues a few nights ago. We won lolz… you were Pendles, ginger_greninja was Montana, you had a kleese who was godawful…

I was Alani. Meltdown Outskirts.

Your PSN is the same?

We’re not a tryhard meta team or anything, we like to take it easy against the newbies and what not, but we mess around a lot and lose winnable matches because of it lol xD

Our antics are proof that queuing against premade 100s isn’t so scary :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, PSN=Triazic

Hmm, I don’t remember matching against you sorry

Nuff said

I realized one that isn’t top 5, but is maybe top 15.

Stupid gear. Some gear is just useless (made a thread about it elsewhere).

Like “Troopers Tuf-Stuf Combat Mesh”

+280 health for the first 60 seconds of my life? come on.

It’s official. Galilea isn’t too strong. And Miko and legendaries are fine strength wise now.
But definitely losing buildables after sentry and losing based off of score. Top of the list for me.

I don’t get it! What’s the rational?!

PVE almost exclusive here. I play on PC. CL 100, many Masters over 700 hours in the game.

We are now back to the type of numbers on Steam we were seeing near the worst period.

I don’t play much anymore. Neither do the people in my Steam list with a few notable exceptions.

People’s entertainment time is valuable. We want something fun. If BB isn’t doing it, we go to something else.

If you want it to succeed BB must be fun again.

For PVE that means giving me something worth playing for. Right now, I can’t get XP for crap. It doesn’t count. Gear is dull at best and embarrassing at worst. Missions are becoming stale.

I tried PVP and it was the opposite of fun.

So, either add new missions or make the old missions worth playing by converting XP to gold or something. Make gear worth fighting for ( I don’t care how you do it, I know PVP is afraid of powerful gear but figure it out). Stopping making characters that HAVE TO GO TO PVP to finish lore.

There are those that like PVP. Good. I wish them the best of luck. I don’t want to go there. I get it, numbers are down, matchmaking is hard, you need more people in PVP. Pick someone else. I don’t want it.

Look, you brought in new blood with the Humble Bundle and then it petered out. Noob stomping and learning curve couldn’t get them passed the is-this-fun threshold. Sorry. Maybe it’s time to focus on PVE for a while.

I’ve got some interesting stories and numbers for your UX team, if you want to talk, you know where to find me.

  1. Make lore challenges completable in private versus.

  2. Increase loadout slots

  3. Let us choose minimum/maximum number of teammates and which maps won’t appear in public story.

  4. Allow us to pick a character without locking in so we can modify team composition.

  5. Lower the cost of faction packs to 900 credits.

For me its matchmaking, and that people seem to prefer the mode I least like (Incursion).

While of course my second point is personal, if the numbers drop and I can no longer play Metldown or possibly capture, that will be it for me.
