Zane buffs today Nov. 21- Thoughts?

Honestly, I think 4 Shotguns of The Apocalypse Zane just got more viable :joy: MOAAR SPLATTERGUN

CANT WAIT TO MAKE A NEW SPEED BUILD. thinking of going all kill skills and then drone and clone to get supersonic man and seein red. might go for a long musket to make aiming easy. am i right to belive the drone buff calculates to a 100% damage buff at 50? thats pretty decent but some of the numbers were so low to begin with, now bad dose will proc for 10 instead of 5. either way im really excited to test out the drone again

the hardest decision: splattergun or snowdrift ?

ooh ive been playing with a weapon swap one pump cold bore build, the new trick of the light is interesting. ive been trying to use a monocle with cold bore and now trick of the light. its a lot more cryo damage so it freezes better, but idk if its a buff straightup. it might be better in more scenarios now, but the double elements was useful

basically what im saying is it would be nice to have an advantage for using cryo, or even just a reason aside from thematics.

That got worse for me.:weary:

Tediore Zane should be OP after this patch
Kill Skill Zane should be balanced now
Cryo Zane reltively untouched but E-tech weapons don’t ignore barrier so that is a HUUUUGGGE buff. Trick of the light being Cryo is also a buff imo, since Zane has no synergy with Electric damage anyway imo. It was just a random skill imo.

This is theory craft. I haven’t played it yet

I liked that it was shock because it meant you could strip shields more efficiently while using non shock weapons, especially those that aren’t effective against shields such as cryo and corrosive. That doesn’t mean that the change is bad though.

It’s just that shields aren’t the difficult to strip in the first place imo. But it’s subjective so we will see. The extra 18% shock damage wasn’t that much of a game changer for me specifically

The 18% was DEFINITELY too low in general and was specifically a slap in the face for a tier 5 skill. Though I appreciate the buff I still think it’s too low for a tier 5 skill.

This isn’t specific to Zane but I’m really liking what seems to be Mayhem 4 anointments. Here are two I’ve seen thus far.

they buffed it too 30%+ for cryo damage. So that will be significant. It’s like having the cryo anointment on a gun just slightly weaker. The issue imo, is that more ways to do cryo isn’t as good as Zane having an innate damage buff for the cryo element. Cryo zane will still be reliant on Ice Breaker Artifacts and That’s annoying.

For example: Moze has alot of ways to do fire damage. This would be insignificant except for the fact that moze INNATELY has a damage buff for the fire element. Zane is in that situation with Cryo

I had hoped for a buff to Duct Tape Mod. That skill could be one of the most fun skills in Zane’s entire arsenal, but sadly enough it’s worthless right now and not worth putting points into. :frowning:

It’s decent for a Hellwalker build.

This. I was sad at first. But this means now I can use SHOCK to make Snow. Instead of the other thing. In my Splattergun build. This might be a massive buff to Brainstormer (thanks for the Ice Breaker Splattergun, btw. It just became OP :joy:)

…considering Duct Tape doesn’t work like clone and drone throws, but acts as an actual thrown grenade, removing the cool down would absolutely make me avoid the skill. Having a grenade blow on me because I fired into an enemy’s face blows. At least with the cool down I know I have gaps to work with.

Disappointed honestly. Duct tape mod and Nerves of steel needed to become viable. Why leave worthless 5 point skills on the table?

Donnybrook stacking is kinda cool.

Everything else is insignificant.

oh crap you are right. Brainstormer is about to be crazy

What are you talking about? Icebreaker artifacts are badass.

It’s a flat 35% dmg buff that can amplify element matching. The only other artifact that comes close to its dmg boost is an elemental projector and that only works when you have a DOT applied to yourself. And here is the best part for us Zane mains, we don’t need a cryo weapon to proc its effects so we get to automatically leverage elemental matching!

Simple. Ice Breaker Splattergun is the dream. Snowdrift Splattergun would be nice, but a Splattergun is a consistent boost no matter what speed of slide… The snowdrift…IT’S HILARIOUS AND I LOVE IT. But it kinda sucks when you accidentally stop before you fire because you hit the enemy already

I like the way your mind works sir and/or madam. I’m a believer now! I’m going to go out and spread the gospel!

No i really love ice breaker artifacts. It’s just philosophically i think it’s weird that the ice character needs a external item to do increased cryo damage while all the other characters have buffed elemental damage built into their trees.

ya i think realistically splattergun is gonna be more usable. i got a splattergun and a 31% shotty relic, im super excited to play around with the speed buffs.
