Idk, that’s not how it sounds to me. To me it sounds like some classmods will literally have unique skills that you can spent skillpoints in.
Nope…certain legendary class modes will have unique skills not on the tree…we just dont know what they are yet.
We kinda know, cause we already had this in BL2/TPS.

Not that can be spec’d into though, that’s more like red text special effects, which is pretty normal.
I honestly dont care about the unique skill unless they are too powerful to ignore…I just want +2 capstones.
I already have build set up for +2 short fuse, Megavore, and forceful expression.
Actually it was really un-intuitive in Borderlands (not even showing you what class mods boosted) and even in BL2 / TPS. Eventually players realize that you need at least one point in something.
This new class mod situation is amazing. It changes everything. Now you could potentially get benefits from a skill tree you don’t even have any points in. I think it opens up all kinds of dream builds. I’m imagining how useful it would have been in BL2.
I think it increases build diversity like 10 fold.
Unlocking skills without buying them means that you can have 2 capstones if you want it that way.
What I’m curious about, is if you have a class mod that grants you skill points in a tier you don’t have, will it also unlock the free augments tied to that tier in the tree.
No, for augments you need fill the tree, but points from COM counts.
