Scaling is still an issue in coop TVHM Mayhem 1. I would find enemies and loot dropping below my level.
I’ve finished the game now, and I don’t undestand why borderlands has a scaling system but it is not activated while you do the story … As I said earlier, if you do 100% you are overpowered for the last third of the game after Eden-6 … It is really too easy and not well scaled, you destroy bosses because they can’t even do their entire skill rotation as you are killing them too quickly … ==" this screw the end game of the story … And then when you finish the story you unlock auto scaling … WHY THE HELL THIS WASN’T TURNED ON BEFORE ??? So you don’t fell too overpowered as you progress through the story… this sucks really guys…
My advice: don’t do side quests before finishing the story … that sucks as I like to 100% every maps, but if you do so you will screw the end of the story that will be really too easy … =.="
There’s really a problem with Splinterlands and Carnivora. The enemies are level 25~27, which is up to 10 levels below the player at that point. The previous main mission before going back to Pandora was lv 32.
So it has nothing to do with being overleveled because of sidemissions. This needs to be hotfixed/patched.
I hope not. The only way I can get past some of the bosses with some characters solo is to outlevel them. Indeed, the best thing about having levels is being able to outlevel the enemies. You hit a wall and grind past it.
We don’t get XP at all in Splinterlands and Carnivora by killing enemies, and there are no bosses there. Then the next map Guts of Carnivora, enemies are lv 35, which is the expected level for that part of the campaign.
The problem exists only in those specific maps, and as I said it has nothing to do with overleveling. The main questline has locked level requirements in normal mode.
Normal mode don’t scale. The scaling start with true vault hunter mode. In normal mode, the zone level is pretty broken, if you don’t farm secondary objective you’re way underlevel until you reach Pandora for the second time and then suddenly you overpower everything
I’ve specifically had to outlevel Katagawa Ball and Killavolt (had to join a friend with my DW Moze to get from 18 to 26 to go back and beat them; will probably have to do something similar with my secondary Amara). The only boss I recall having trouble getting past beyond those two is that bloody Agonizer. But I’ve only come up against it once solo so far and I eked by. I could see that one being an obstacle if my Zane and secondary Amara ever make it there.
If you run the game without doing sidequests you’ll be underleveled in the first playthrough, it has always been like this in any Borderlands game. But we’re talking about a bug with the enemy scaling in Splinterlands and Carnoriva, which are not compatible with the level of the current story mission.
